"More lethal weaponry" or firearms, is covered by the NFA. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but it's really hard for a civilian to legally obtain a full auto machine gun. You need ATF permission and it be registered with the ATF among other steps in the process. It can take a months to a year.

This is why people shouldn't budge on these issues. There's always an end game. Take rifles today, all guns the next. Once you've allowed that first step it's much easier to convince people that the next one is appropriate.

I think marijuana usage is wayyyyyy down on the list of problems to tackle.

I mentioned a few times in this thread that I do believe in background checks and more strict criteria to qualify for ownership (testing, classes, psychological exam, etc). Most domestically trafficked guns are from 8 states that do not require background checks. That could possibly help some...
