    Well ****....that's reassuring.

I get it, but do you want the well liked 2nd or 3rd year resident performing open heart surgery on you? Or the chief of surgery surgeon with a proven track record, who's seen it all and can adapt of the fly with his experience? Listen, these guys could definitely work out, but they are high...

True but Saban is incredibly involved in the defensive side - that's why i mentioned Richt.

I don't agree necessarily. If we bring in a big-time OC, what does Jon do? What about the titles they gave Dugans and Brown? If anything, our staff would be lopsided. We would have 6 offensive coaches and only 4 defensive.....and 2 of those guys have to split their focus between coordinator...

Works both ways. I have seen what you stated, specifically in the Tech/Computer world......but in my industry it's the opposite. You have to put your time in and prove yourself. I have seen a lot of young, green employees promoted and they just weren't ready. They didn't have the experience...

RIght - they dont care about learning their craft in order to be drafted? So when SoFla DBs are comparing Miami to LSU......so Aranda/Raymond vs Patke/Banda, they don't care about the reputations of those guys and their ability to coach kids up? Ok.

Schiano was DB coach for Penn State and the Chicago Bears before being DC here. Shannon was a DL coach and LB coach here, then a LB coach for the Miami Dolphins before being named DC. So both guys had success as a position coach first and then learned for a year in the NFL before coming back...

They have less experience than most MAC, Sun Belt and Mountain West staffs. And just because they worked with Manny for a few years doesn't mean they are Manny. I could sit with Warren Buffet for 2 years and learn to invest, but until i prove it myself there's little chance people will hand me...

Even then it won't be in my mind. You don't fix one mistake by making another.

Maybe - but if they hadn't been Manny's GAs elsewhere they never would have had an interview for a position coach in any P5 program. They do not have the resume for it. Their resumes are no better than Jon's or Brown's......both of whom we don't want calling plays on the offensive side of the...

How could this be real - i mean really. Patke didn't even have a coordinators job for 1 year yet. 1 year. He's never done anything in the college game. Banda has been a GA and followed Manny around but never coached anything but safeties and has only been a position coach for a few years...
