I think Beard is a solid recruiter and coach but look at how things have already changed at DB with the new coaches brought in

If I read one more WR recruit talking about how Beard is “different” and then they go elsewhere I’m gonna throw up
I never got the Inniss hate. I have no idea if he's any good or not. But it has nothing to do with his lack of production. He was in a room with two first rounders and multiple other NFL talents.

OSU people are still very high on him meanwhile our fans have already written off Stone who was a freshman last year so it all tracks right?

I think he’s solid nothing more. And that’s alright for a program getting blown out by middle Tennessee but I was hoping to see some upgrades there

Do you guys believe it is Beard? I always struggle to know if it's a program or coach level problem. Up until Ward, what self-respecting non-homer WR would want to come to Miami? The fact Beard landed Jojo, Carr, Chance and the three 2025 guys is already impressive, to me. Now with Beck, Nickle and Coleman in the fold, I would expect him to do better. Or is that wishful thinking?
We already have too much proof that this is what he is. I have seen enough and we need to upgrade there. We need an elite recruiter that can win battles vs OSU at that position period. If the coach can’t do that then he would be the same as Beard imo.
Wishful thinking Brodie. We need a guy that can land no doubter first round type WRs. “He’s an nfl type wr” isn’t good enough imo. I thought losing JS to OSU was a termination type offense. But that’s just me, it’s not a knock on his character cause some posters think if u want someone fired you hate them. Hes a good dude I like him but we should be getting the best, especially the best in sfla.

@Dwinstitles do you still feel that way about Beard? I think he’s proven himself so far this season and that we’re going to close our strongest WR class this season in a long time.
Why is this wr class our biggest in a long time? The last several wr classes have been **** good. You guys just didn't like that we don't have that big name 5 star. We have depth like I said all off-season. It's just not established
Im guessing 2027 will be our best class by rating and Talent
This past class with Toney, Josh Moore, and Upshaw is very highly viewed. I think this 26 class is probably gunna be slightly higher rated than last yrs class but not viewed as highly by the board imo. I don’t think this class will be as highly rated as the Trader+Carr class though.
If you saw my original post, I essentially said the same thing. As for why I think this class will be even better, I happen to really like the 3 guys we have committed and think we're going to land one or two more flips. That's not a knock on the guys already on roster.
I'll push back a bit on that comment. I think this past year's class has the makings of being really good with Toney, Moore and Upshaw. Beyond them, the kids are real TBDs and haven't shown a whole lot. Carr, Trader, Robinson were hyped but have been disappointing (one portaled, the other two can't stay healthy and/or have crummy practice habits). Before that, it was RRJ, and Robby Washington.
That's all fair. But the conversation is about the class. That's just recruiting. Not what there results were & as recruits they were all **** good. Lastly remember ny didn't portal out. He stayed.
Yeah, I should have been cleared- Ny portaled and then came back. Given that, I honestly don't expect much from him.
I thought the debate was around Beard and his past few classes rather than this past class. Regardless, if we land the guys that I hope we land in this class, it has the makings of being really good.
Yes he needs to land the first rounder. I never thought he could not coach. I do give credit to the evaluators on Moore and Toney. I’m sure Mario was in on that film

I mean I can’t now they held off bama for Toney. And the WRs so far are good enough. Better than good enough
