Beat me to it. If he has a good year he will be renegotiating again after this season. This is the type of kid who you will never be satisfied. And I’m sure OU knows it but the optics would have been just too bad to let him walk. They had no choice especially if he would have came to UM. Now with all that said, he will be in the portal again after Venables gets fired for going 8-4 so we will have one more shot at him next offseason

I like that our rivals are busting their budgets trying to keep existing players on roster. That’s a small victory. Won’t matter if we can’t land a quality DT in the portal. Go get that Syracuse kid and the Houston Safety and eliminate 2 needs with only WR and LB to go.
