Great write-up Pete.

Why is Guy Thomas listed as attending SJB Academy in Miami on 247sports? Never heard of that hs before. And I'm curious.

If Joe Brown has to contribute...

It'll zap me right back to the days of watching OL stalwarts like Tyler Horn, Anthony Wollsshalalalagagager and the like.

so is gus ahead of yearby right now?

Guy Thomas has Miami leading fsu and bama even with his brother being at fsu safe to say big 6 don't like it like that up there. Nothing has gone right for him at fsu

Is Joe Brown the only Al Golden special that worked ?

Isn't Elder considered an AG special too since he was signed after signing day seemingly out of nowhere? Wasn't a whole lot of hype around Herndon either when he signed. Noone liked Jenkins aka the NJ kid, but for a freshman i thought he did pretty well at DT. Obvously there are plenty of ****ters to name too though like hunter wells, vernon davis, o'donnel, larry hope etc.

We can thank Hurlie for getting Corn to wait till after signing day as he convinced Golden to sign him. He was about to sign with Urban Meyer.

Elder was a 4* recruit so he doesn't count as Al Golden special.

They cant wear those cleats until Sept 1st or am I wrong?

Thats my question. Are we going to go through an entire camp wearing Nike stuff for practice and then switch to Adidas stuff for game week. That would be stupid but I don't know how the contract reads. I saw a picture of Jamal Carter getting fitted for a helmet and he had an adidas visor.

They have been wearing Adidas stuff since Pro day.

I was visiting the campus the other day saw herndon there practicing routes and doing drills at greentree, i asked one of the guys on staff about him and he told me the kid is out there everyday grinding, gotta love the kids work ethic, hope it shows on the field

all black uniforms!??! what about em?

so is gus ahead of nearby right now?

Gus supposedly outperformed year by at spring football. Doesn't matter IMO we have a talented stable of backs

I wonder if that played into Yearby's supposed unhappiness? Regardless, they'd both get a lot of carries during the season anyway, so neither one should be worried about not getting the ball enough.

1. Thurston Armbrister
2. Walter Tucker
3. Corn Elder

All worked

So now the legend is going to be that 4 star, plus athlete Elder was a "project" or a scrap heap guy?

And what has Tucker done to exceed his athletic ability? The guy was a champion track athlete and a very productive RB the year Sony was hurt. So far, he's been a sparingly used backup who hasn't made a play.

frank1886: And he was Mr. Football in the State of Tennessee. Definitely not a Golden special.
