Lingard and Blades! Old school - both MF will dominate in Ed Reed´s voice

2 down lineman don't typically go high in the draft. Norton should come back and develop himself more.

So tos posted an article on Jordan with quotes from him saying he'll be on campus a week or 2 after he graduates in December, meaning he'll be an early enrollee. Not discounting Pete's info, but maybe he can verify further?

Is that a new rule at Bishop Gorman? Last year Tate Martell enrolled early at OSU.

Chill with your brock fetishes, gents. Ruining yet another thread. Just freaking ignore him and let the rest of us read in peace.

Ignoring does have its limits.

Trying to follow a thread after Brock craps all over it isn't the easiest thing. Or you could, you know, deal with the fact that the board's worst poster is also its most frequent poster. Or, well, just let the board continue to go to ****...whatever.

Thanks.

I think Nesta wants to wait til February because he wants to see whether mcintosh and Norton declare for the draft. Maybe Nesta wants a decent shot at being one of the top 4 DTs and knows that likely won't happen if either or both of those guys return.

Norton leaning towards leaving.

Isn't Willis coming back next year as well?

Thread got a little derailed, but would like to follow up on what brock mentioned. Chatfield has been to the last two games, and Nik finally got his offer; any word on if an offer is coming for Drew soon and do you know where we stand w Nik or if the staff is making him a priority?

Good looking as always w "The Work"

I don't either, but if Irvin gets kicked out we'd be left with Polendey & walk-on Malik Curry as the only real TE's on the roster.

I'm not sold on Patchan being a legit TE, so they should at least look at a Grad Transfer next year, wouldn't affect the scholly count.

Jordan and Mallory won't show up on campus til June/July 2018, a Grad Transfer would provide solid veteran Depth until Fall camp.

El, I'd be straight with cross training Langham to be a Njoku WR/TE hybrid and rolling with Polendey and Curry just until the Fall. Brevin is GAME READY and will be a Day 1 starter. Why waste an 85 ship on a spring practice Greentree body?
I don't need any convincing about Brevin Jordan, I was literally the first person to ever post on him on this Board.

Langham ain't moving to TE, and a Grad Transfer doesn't take up a scholly & he wouldn't be just a Greentree body.

The reason for it would be as a contingency plan, also adds a Senior TE who can provide depth & solid blocking.

I'm not arguing that someone should be brought in to start over Jordan or Mallory, I'm saying we could use another guy for depth, just like we could have at RB this year.

Brock was the same one championing our unproven depth at RB during the offseason. Everyone knew what we had with Walton and that Homer had high upside, but after that we had crap. When fans voiced their concerns, he thought we were good. Now, we've had to revamp our whole offseason because Walton actually went down. With this situation at TE - its rinse and repeat.

Also added that homer would be ready and look how that turned out. Tyshon dye would have carried us to the acc championship if walton got hurt ?..... he has 35 Carries 134 yards 3.8 ypc on the season... but he was such a difference maker for the season according to some of you

Once again, we get these same insane responses from Brock and others who misstate our concerns about RB depth.

Nobody said that a grad-transfer would be a "difference maker for the season" or would "carry us to the ACC championship". That was NEVER what ANYONE said. Nor did anyone question whether Homer "would be ready".

Instead, over and over again, many of us pointed out what was behind Walton if Walton got hurt. Homer, who we ALL liked, and then a collection of unproven and untested talent.

You can't just plug-and-play Tyshon Dye's stats and conclude that he would not help us. He might have only 35 carries for a half-season, but if he was with UM, he would now be getting more touches in Walton's absence, and running behind an OL that has been very good thus far.

The REAL point here is that Brock and others were telling us not to worry about RB so that they could argue for saving scholarships for the future, not because anyone was claiming that a grad-transfer was going to "carry us to the ACC-CG" or be a "difference maker".

We wanted depth. Brock just wants to be "right".

1 injury away from straight disaster. Homer literally played every snap. If you think that's a recipe for success you're retarded.

Most teams are at the position other than Bama and georgia

This is miami. The team that has produced more RB's than anyone. You're really going to come at me with that bull**** dude? That's your argument? FOH.

Yes I will this year..... no team is stacked at running back like Bama or georgia THIS year. Lsu would be hurting at running back if guice got hurt
Bama
Damien Harris
Jacobs
Bo Scarborough
Najee Harris

Uga
Chubb
Michel
Swift
He tried
Holyfield

What point are you trying to make? You think we should only have two miami caliber RB's on the team ? Really? You think we should only have 2 miami quality TE's? Why would possibly argue against this. Do you have Aspergers are do you just refuse to admit you're wrong. I never could figure out why people on here give you so much **** but you're baffling the **** out of me right now trying to argue basic depth principles .

slow learner, but better late than never.

Peter Ariz this is some of what a bama writer said about jobe. Dude said jobe was about to flip twice.

Sources close to the situation tell BamaOnLine that the Tide remains heavily involved here. A separate source went on to say the Miami staff is keeping their heads on a swivel – especially after keeping Jobe in the fold as he contemplated flipping twice – with the elite corner expected to take his official visit to T-Town for the LSU game in a couple of weeks. Potential early playing time and national exposure are working in Alabama’s favor here, as Mark Richt and company are working on keeping the South Florida talent, who’s finishing his high school career in Connecticut, home.

In the spring is time for POLENDY, PATCHAN to get alot of reps.

**** not sure if Irving would be a grades casualty then...so lets see. Dont think we need another te in the class though

Why do you say a grad transfer wouldn't affect the scholarship count? Grad transfer will get a scholarship especially at Miami. Don't think a Grad Transfer will be paying their own way. Dee Delaney is counting against this year's count.

It doesn't affect us long term. Grad transfer can only play one year.

In that one year would hope he will be productive, Beau Sandland may have been productive under this coaching staff. Richt and company have made some good moves, think Ambassodor Colbert, Delaney--I think it is a risk worth taking for one year

"brock fetishes", seriously not sure what you mean, please clarify, thanks.

Wasn’t early graduation and enrollment the whole point of Jobe going to Cheshire? IIRC, his father said his son was only going to go to a school where he could enroll early , and now this transpires?

As much as I want to believe that Jobe is fully on board, I’m expecting the worst and hoping for the best. Seen this story too many times to expect a different outcome. Actions, not words

Are the Alabama writers insane? Nobody is claiming that Jobe wouldn't have "early playing time" and "national exposure" at Alabama. But he would have the EXACT SAME things at Miami. For the Bama writers to act as if they have an "edge" in this regard is ridiculous.
