I still have my doubts Jobe is in this class . I think we get another solid cb just in case one of the dbs jump ship . Imo is Jobe jumps ship I would move Blades to safety he’s nasty

Thanks.

I think Nesta wants to wait til February because he wants to see whether mcintosh and Norton declare for the draft. Maybe Nesta wants a decent shot at being one of the top 4 DTs and knows that likely won't happen if either or both of those guys return.

Norton leaning towards leaving.

Makes the Silvera committment even more important. We need this kid because he has the strength to hold his own early on as a Freshman.

Blades is a bog downgrade at S compared to Jobe, they not even the same caliber player and I like Blades alot. Theres alot of irreplaceable guys in storm 18 and Jobes one of them

How does Alabama get guts like Jonathan Allen and Reuben Foster to come back for their senior seasons and we have guys jumping ship asap?

Reuben Foster was looking like a 4th-5th round pick. Plus they get "love" up there.

I'm guessing you mean the last installment of their "signing" brown bag?

Irvin , polendy, patchan, curry for the spring. No need to add a juco te when we have 2 elite tight end prospects coming in. 1 that will be ready for day 1... pete you sure about that regarding Jordan not being able to early enroll at Bishop Gorman? I’m pretty sure tate martell just did that at Ohio State and he came from Bishop Gorman as well last year

I like Brevin Jordan and all, but it's foolish to assume that he's going to come in day 1 and contribute the way Herndon has. Also, we may not have Irvin next year at this point. Our "seasoned" depth would be Patchan who's a converted TE-from-DE who has two major knee injuries he's had to overcome and Polendy who probably won't be physically ready to go next year given that he came in like a twig.

look at Jordan’s film, he’s an elite blocker and has college size already to Man the position. This is not madden you don’t just bring in 3 tight ends in one class. Getting 2 elite te’s in one class is almost unheard, it will be more than enough.

"This is not Madden"

That's what I'd say to you for assuming just b/c Jordan has college size and looks good in high school film that he will automatically come in and light the world on fire his true freshman season. You never know with these kids...especially at a physically demanding position such as TE. I'm not saying he won't come in and be a beast day 1, but its silly to be writing him in w/ permanent ink as a beast from day 1.

I love the kid...can't wait for him to get here.

El, I'd be straight with cross training Langham to be a Njoku WR/TE hybrid and rolling with Polendey and Curry just until the Fall. Brevin is GAME READY and will be a Day 1 starter. Why waste an 85 ship on a spring practice Greentree body?
I don't need any convincing about Brevin Jordan, I was literally the first person to ever post on him on this Board.

Langham ain't moving to TE, and a Grad Transfer doesn't take up a scholly & he wouldn't be just a Greentree body.

The reason for it would be as a contingency plan, also adds a Senior TE who can provide depth & solid blocking.

I'm not arguing that someone should be brought in to start over Jordan or Mallory, I'm saying we could use another guy for depth, just like we could have at RB this year.

Brock was the same one championing our unproven depth at RB during the offseason. Everyone knew what we had with Walton and that Homer had high upside, but after that we had crap. When fans voiced their concerns, he thought we were good. Now, we've had to revamp our whole offseason because Walton actually went down. With this situation at TE - its rinse and repeat.

Also added that homer would be ready and look how that turned out. Tyshon dye would have carried us to the acc championship if walton got hurt ?..... he has 35 Carries 134 yards 3.8 ypc on the season... but he was such a difference maker for the season according to some of you

Once again, we get these same insane responses from Brock and others who misstate our concerns about RB depth.

Nobody said that a grad-transfer would be a "difference maker for the season" or would "carry us to the ACC championship". That was NEVER what ANYONE said. Nor did anyone question whether Homer "would be ready".

Instead, over and over again, many of us pointed out what was behind Walton if Walton got hurt. Homer, who we ALL liked, and then a collection of unproven and untested talent.

You can't just plug-and-play Tyshon Dye's stats and conclude that he would not help us. He might have only 35 carries for a half-season, but if he was with UM, he would now be getting more touches in Walton's absence, and running behind an OL that has been very good thus far.

The REAL point here is that Brock and others were telling us not to worry about RB so that they could argue for saving scholarships for the future, not because anyone was claiming that a grad-transfer was going to "carry us to the ACC-CG" or be a "difference maker".

We wanted depth. Brock just wants to be "right".

Grads transfer for playing time. They don't transfer to provide depth and hope someone gets hurt so they can play.

Is that a new rule at Bishop Gorman? Last year Tate Martell enrolled early at OSU.

I think he transferred to another high school after football season so he could graduate early

So after football season ended in November, he transferred to another high school in December in order to enroll in college in January?

Sure, that makes sense.

JoRk ARllen left STA right after football season. Did he enroll in UF early?

Thanks for the info as usual Pete. And thank you for keeping it free.

1 injury away from straight disaster. Homer literally played every snap. If you think that's a recipe for success you're retarded.

You'd be in the same spot even if we signed Dye because he's straight ***. So are the other options who were available. They'd all be behind Atkins on the depth chart.

Stupid comment with no perspective.

AT THE TIME we could have/would have/should have signed a grad-transfer, Homer had not played or established himself as a reliable option. So, essentially, a grad-transfer is coming in with the thought that he would be the #2 RB at UM.

Grad-transfers don't simply choose a school with zero players at their position. They decide based on a reasonable chance to play, not that they are handed the #1 position with no competition.

COACHES are the ones who have to plan for depth.

Only thing I’m really trying to say get as many dbs this class why south Fl loaded . We can’t afford to strike out. Turn the heat up on the fsu commit from STA

I'm not saying it's impossible, but you can see why the NCAA could question transcripts. And how can a student possibly be stopped from graduating a semester early if he has fulfilled all the qualifications to graduate?

****, if anything, THIS is what the NCAA should be dealing with. Academic issues.
