The conference is a real problem with many kids.
I keep seeing people say we will know our next destination in the summer of 2026. Honestly that day can’t get here quick enough. At least at that point MC will be able to shut down the conference negative recruiting.

Miami is the young guy from the 80’s with great genetics . Long , thick hair. Shredded , not one ounce of fat . Best athlete in school that all the girls wanted and all the guys wanted to be.

Now UM is in their late 40’s, badly balding , huge gut with a hairy chest because they’re too lazy to trim it . But still drive a red sports car, telling anyone that’ll listen what a stud they was back in the day. “ When I was your age I repped 450 and ran a 4.4”. Which he did. But the 15 year old says to himself “ wtf is this bald fat *** talking about , are you even on YouTube ? Do you have HL’s”?

Btw anyone interested in a used red corvette ?
2024 season set us back so freaking bad. Just can’t believe what an abortion defense I saw last season. MC could have literally been here selling a national championship with just a mildly competent defense last season.

And honestly, as good as 10 wins was, that season was very easy for opponents to recruit against:

- even with the best player in CFB, we almost went 8-5.
- even with the best qb in college, we couldn’t make the acccg. How are we to compete against the big boys if we constantly lose to inferior teams?
- etc etc

I think the SEC issue is a contributor to our situation. Perception matters but I am curious as to the reality. We all know the SEC has way more folks drafted than the ACC. My curiousity is what does that really mean when you pull it apart? There are people drafted in the NFL from all kinds of places.

Here's my question that I'm both too lazy and incompetent to figure out the answer. I think it is more important than how many folks get drafted by conference.

For concensus 4* and 5* recruits coming out of HS and starting at each conference, what % of them get drafted by the NFL irrespective of where they ended up after their first college year.

My guess is that the SEC has the highest % of 4 and 5* recruits starting, but a lot of them don't pan out and the output of NFL draftees as a % of those starting out will be similar. Might even be higher in lesser confeence where you don't get buried in the player stack and get real pt early.

This is Year #4 of a major rebuild. We are still building a solid foundation for a consistent program. This program had been basura for so long that it will take more than one 10+ win season to prove we can once again be consistent.
Is anyone out recruiting Mario? He and the staff are relentless. The fans and university are doing their part via NIL contributions and facilities. We are getting enough players either through HS or transfer portal to better execute the game plan year over year. Let’s stay focused on improvement and winning.
If these kids don’t jump on with UM this year, then with the portal, we will have a chance to reel them in another year. We have a Top 10 class currently and we have until December to flip some others that committed to programs that may implode this upcoming season.
This lie has been debunked more times than I can remember. Winning happens fast or it doesn’t happen.

Yup. And when UM is recruiting kids in the heart of SEC country that multiple SEC schools are prioritizing, we’re going to lose a lot more than we are going to win. Hopefully they are casting a wide enough net and have good backup plans. I may be wrong, but I do not think the portal is going to be as fruitful going forward with multiple year contracts now seemingly standard, and if that is true whiffing on HS kids is going to get more costly.
Yep. This is where I am too. I don’t understand all this talk about flipping guys. It didn’t happen last cycle and now , with rev share contracts, it’s going to be harder

So I’m at the Morgan wallen concert and I saw Jason Taylor walked out with him and all I could think about is that he’s here instead of rebuilding the DT board.

On top of Mauigoa and Bain We can still get something out of Fletcher, Pancake, Damari Brown, Kinsler, Bryant, Popo and Bobby Washington. Plus the punter Joyce, of course. And if Jackson Carver ever gets healthy, maybe he can be good depth. And then there is Emory.

But yeah, the talent evals were pretty bad there. Only guys who could have contributed here are Riley Williams and Josh Horton (big losses IMO). Achaeompong is at Bowling Green, Robby is at East Carolina, Tinilau is at East Tennessee State. Those are legit eval failures. ... Tripp is at FIU, though I think you take him because he helped us with all the IMG targets. Wayne transferred to Washington and now is transferring with his position coach there to Cal, Stafford is at UCLA now, CJ is at SMU, Pulliam was depth at Michigan State, has a shot to be in the rotation this year... maybe one of them does something?
Great points…like I said, Wario better hit with the 24 class or I don’t care what wax you put on that old car as it won’t shine!!

So you’re telling TrumpyCane is all we need is a little bit of Ozempic and some BBL?

Maybe throw in some hair plugs

Your statement makes no sense based on the fact we have landed guys like:

Jackson Cantwell
Hayden Lowe
Justin Scott
Armondo Blount
Marcus Lightfoot
Francis Mauigoa
And only one is from our backyard and we were a hair from losing Blount as he flipped back to us. Our own kids ain't fans of the hometown school with all the history and prestige and ain't raised with loyalty to want to get us back to the glory years. **** we've seen top prospects not even give a **** and rep schools they have no reason having an allegiance to

No other school is the country deals with this foolery. Now we haven't given them much to cheer about but the OSU's, UT's and LSU's get the main kids out their state win lose or draw
