If we keeping it 100, I don't think a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP would change the perception as much as some would believe it would.

The Miami brand is still kinda stale to these kids. If you really want to know where we stand, don't talk to the High Schoolers. Talk to the Middle Schoolers about who their favorite teams are. You won't hear Miami mentioned much.

Even last year, if we really dissect it, the excitement was around Cam -- the player -- more so than Miami, the team.

We're still a couple of years away from molding these SFL minds.

You mean kids and fans were more interested in this than getting back to work, culture and physicality? They actually like fun, scoring and winning?

Those young rascals these days.

Miami is the young guy from the 80’s with great genetics . Long , thick hair. Shredded , not one ounce of fat . Best athlete in school that all the girls wanted and all the guys wanted to be.

Now UM is in their late 40’s, badly balding , huge gut with a hairy chest because they’re too lazy to trim it . But still drive a red sports car, telling anyone that’ll listen what a stud they was back in the day. “ When I was your age I repped 450 and ran a 4.4”. Which he did. But the 15 year old says to himself “ wtf is this bald fat *** talking about , are you even on YouTube ? Do you have HL’s”?

Btw anyone interested in a used red corvette ?

What has A&M won the last two decades? ****, last 100 years. Recruiting ain’t about selling last wins, it’s about selling the vision of wins.

Cam just went 1.1, Miami was one win away from playoffs, if you can’t sell stock in the future right now, then idk.
Their recruiting base is diff from SFL and they've put more top NFL talent in the league on top of having endless money to offer.

That’s always the narrative when you can’t close. Same **** opps said for Cantwell when we won.
I agree, the "Miami is getting outbid" angle doesn't make any sense, we were the the boogeyman w/ the bag last month n now we cant match Texas NIL for Cooper?? GTFOH

We have roughly the same 1 round picks as them going back to Myles Garret. A&M is the biggest farce in CFB going. They don't win and they aren't putting guys in the league at a clip close to the other top programs that get 5 stars. They must be able to identify the kids early that only care about the most money and that playing in the SEC is still important to them. Outside of that IDK.

There is no way out numbers aren't as good or better for him. Only issue is of course both UM and Texas have missed on a few guys they thought they would get which might indicate a higher bag but as this point we have to get it done.

they dont win at a high level but i'll just say they've been investing in football far longer then we have, Miami Kids dont care bout UM the way Texas kids do the Texas universities thats a large part of the problem too.

Who are these kids that we “lost” on that will be impact players on the next level? Heze Kent is an offensive lineman that thinks he’s a TE, Derek Cooper is a LB, Calvin Russell is a 180 pound basketball player. None of them are misses.

There has to be other factors at play other then money, i refuse to believe we cant secure the best NIL for a 5 star from Miami who most view as a "must get"

Lets be honest….if you could compete in the SEC, compete for championships, and play in front of 107,000 people every week, and still get the same NIL package - what would you pick? I promise you, the fan/stadium optics matter, and so does being a playoff contender.
Depends on location and tax burden. If you’re moving to a place that has a state, county, and city income tax that should be a factor. Florida and Texas have advantages there.

It’s not the fans’ fault. The fans are reacting to the product.
I’m at a total loss here, D money. I listened to your podcast yesterday and you’re talking about how Cooper has on Miami gloves and Texas isn’t willing to spend big and then I wake up today to see this BS! What is going on at UM right now and caneinsight with that podcast yesterday telling a totally different story? SMH

Texas was good from 2001-09. Then they sucked until 2023. That was all through these kids childhood, same as Miami. But the Florida kids don’t know that because they didn’t live in Texas.

Devils advocate…Cam is 1.1 in draft, #1 offense, no postseason.

How do you sell the future? How can you trust this staff?
