...Did he? lol you literally JUST responded to me saying you never said he did. So are you now saying he in fact did?

No, I asked how do you know? I can only go by the one side that tells me there side. What if he did though and we don't know? Or I simply wasn't told that?

Anyhow, time for me to bow out. Need some rest.

How long are we gonna hear that we're feeling good about prospects before we actually start getting the commits

Can't speak to prior years. This year is going to be unusual due to the timing of the House settlement. A lot of collectives are spending all their reserves to get guys signed to old-fashioned NIL deals before the rules change.

That's a good point there guys are probably gonna be speeding to get committed, and get their NIL deals locked up before that settlement takes effect

Buddy, it really is funny how you really think you just know absolutely everything. If you actually think nothing changed with regards to the terms of the Cantwell deal, than that would prove to me you legitimately have no real sources.

I can literally post 1, just 1 text from 1 UM staffer that would destroy your "nothing" claims. But hey man, you keep doing you and trying to convince people you are the end all, be all for info.
Post the text. I refuse to believe that TheOriginalCane is a false prophet

Not considered a great WR year by who?
Cmon fam weve heard this story how many years with the WR Spafford cancels his visit now all the sudden were playing the long game with Keys and Russel. I love Lopez hope we get em. Looks like we getting the Tennessee kid.. Just not a great WR years for us once again is what D meant lol

247 is down on the class. They’ve talked about it on their national podcast and the Top 10 WRs are ranked lower than usual. Our staff shares that evaluation. We’ll see. I haven’t done a deep dive on the top guys.

I don’t think that evaluation has anything to do with the recruitment of Keys and Russell- they are priorities and would be misses if they go elsewhere.
I don't agree with that sentiment.

With
- Tristen Keys
- Ethan Boobie Feaster
- Chris Henry Jr
- Cederian Morgan
- Jordan Clay
- Jabari Mack
- Kenny Darby
- Kaydon Finley
- London Smith
- Daniel Odom
- Gordon Sellers
- Devin Carter

That's 12 right there that fit the mold of prospects who can be considered future high upside productive college WR's with NFL potential.

247 rankings aren't really based on any one thing in particular & fluctuates arbitrarily depending on what criteria they choose to go by.

They haven't ranked the WR's as high as they normally would, because they simply decided not to, not because the talent pool is down.

The 2025 class was more of a down year than this 2026 group.

I’m not co-signing 247 because I haven’t seen enough national prospects this year to give a fair opinion. I’m just saying this perception of the WR class goes beyond Miami’s staff.

Of the guys I’ve watched in depth, Keys looks like a real five star to me. Calvin Russell is more in the JoJo Trader category- can be really good if he puts on weight and strength. I actually liked JoJo more coming out. He was smoother and more refined.

It’s gonna be a **** of a class

Other than WR it seems. Not a fan of Lopez personally was hoping we weren’t prioritizing him if we had a chance at some bigger prospects

Why? This comment made me go back and look at Lopez‘s tape. I never watched it. Comparing Lopez junior highlights to Restrepo Junior highlights, Lopez is way better. I don’t know. I mean I don’t know what I’m missing, but we should be trying to sign this dude quick.

Looking at Restrepo junior film, he almost doesn’t look like a take. Lopez made a ton more plays. Restrepo is stronger, but Lopez is shiftier. Way more plays with the ball thrown downfield.

How do you feel about our standing with keys?

Restrepo nearly wasn’t a take, he initially tried to commit and was turned down. Thankfully Manny reconsidered and took his commitment

At this rate just put key and Russel’s money together park it in a high interest savings account until the portal and just give it all to Jeremiah smith for his money junior season so Nickel or Coleman have a superstar talent to offload the burden on them to play next to Jojo

WR elite talent recruiting has been eluding Mario…hard to fight off the WRU recent pumping schools with easy slogans of “hey kid your up next just show up”

It's not even close right now according to the composite ratings though. On3 Composite has the average top10 WRs rated as:

2024 - 97.848 ... 7 guys rated 97 or above
2025 - 96.91 ... 5 guys rated 97 or above
2026 - 95.291 ... only 1 guy rated 97 or above

Though I think maybe everyone is just holding the WRs classes to the 24 standard, which was excellent. If you eliminate 24, this years class is probably in the same ballpark as 25, 23, 22, 21, etc.
