Yeah I think I meant to not post that because I was replying to you and realized **** he already knows all this anyway 😂

The BYU kid is a solid addition though it helps

Is he? I don’t know much about him. I just heard he’s a good kick returner so hopefully he takes the horror show of Chris Johnson out of my brain forever pretty quickly.

So you didn’t answer my question, not that I thought you would because it’d interrupt the nonsense moping.

Which programs pulled their WR1 out of the spring portal? I’ll do one better. Which programs pulled their WR1 out of either portal? Any playoff contenders? Texas? Ohio State? Clemson? Alabama?

Who was the best WR in the whole portal? Singleton? Branch? Concepcion? Yeah, would’ve been nice to get one of them, but it’s not like there are dozens of kids who are going to step onto good rosters and be the best receivers on the team coming from the portal. Develop your kids. We had the #1 offense in America last year with a 5’10 who isn’t gonna be drafted as our WR1. We’ll be ok. Back away from the ledge.
Ok first paragraph a bunch of them got players. Alabama in landed Horton. I’d consider him a wr1 on our team and a lot of team. They have Williams but still got a guy!
Georgia - Zach branch and Noah Thomas! both of those would be our top wr
A&M - Concepcion
LSU - barrion brown and Nic Anderson!!!
Nd - fields
And Auburn snagged singleton.

That offense last year was great. But last year during the portal we all knew we had issues at cb didn’t address it and wasted a generational qb and elite offense. Didn’t even make the acc championship or 12 team playoffs!

We lost our four most productive wideouts. We knew we needed wr. and We took an all American kick returner. But yea i wont answer your question. Take off the homer glasses. We’re good but we missed out on getting better. I see an 8-4 or 9-3 team.

I don’t expect a lot from him but Dawsons offense has shown it can get some pretty good numbers in a lot of ways

Since he’s been here we’ve actually had receivers outperforming where they should be which is still hard to accept sometimes

Did miami not try and have half of them on campus ?? Not every kid wants to play for miami also play in the acc over sec

Here is the latest on the Portal:

- Miami is in a good spot with four-star transfer WR Keelan Marion (BYU), LB Kamal Bonner (NC State) and K Bert Auburn (Texas). I'm told Bonner has the defensive staff very excited and has great reports from NC State.

- The Canes think they are right in the game with RB Marty Brown (North Dakota State). Nebraska is the competition.

- I'm told Miami has a plan at safety. I haven't been told what it is, but they are working on several things. DB AJ Haulcy (Houston) is still in the picture but there are other things going on.

- DB Greg Smith (Florida) is another option at safety but is separate from the plan referenced above.

- Miami is continuing to look for a depth piece at DT.

- The Canes have interest in USF nickel Brent Austin. He made 48 tackles and had 2 picks last year.

- WR Tony Johnson (Cincinatti) is another name to watch as a depth piece who has played.

- While some names in the Portal are waiting for paperwork to clear, I can confirm Miami has retained its current roster.

I hope they move Lucas to safety to get our best players on the field .

Now that we're looking at the USF nickel, that could mean they are thinking of switching either Lucas or Damari to FS and moving Brantley outside.Honestly something they should have done for spring but they likely thought they would have no issues finding a good safety in the portal, lesson learned,I hope.

Show me the programs who got WR1 out of the spring portal? What planet do you people live on?

This game is still predicated on HS recruiting. We have 2 second year WRs who were HIGH blue-chip recruits, one of them being in 5-star conversation. Those are your WR1 candidates. Not kids from Georgia State.
The only thing close to a WR1 out there right now is Pena, and half the board doesn't want him.

He’s gotta at least have speed, right? If he’s a good returner. Dawson doesn’t do a ton of pure verticals with the outside receivers but maybe that changes if we have a pure burner out there.

You answered everybody’s concern. “The closest thing to a wr1”. We aren’t paying wr1 money to someone who is close. If the 6’5 dude that’s at uga jumped we’d throw the kitchen sink at him.

I agree , we have the talent we just need to get our best players on the field imo . Safety would be good if we did what you mentioned . Everyone can’t play cb so move some of our talent to safety
