I know OL evals are tough. But it's mind numbing how many whiffs we've had. I like Washington as a project, Reed looked great at the All Star Game, Isaiah Walker had infinite upside. So frustrating... Is Big Baby just too small (pun intended) to be a factor? Rodriguez too small? ... Those 2023 kids can't get here soon enough.
Every time I’ve seen pictures of Seymore/Rodriguez on the field, they just look really small. I thought they were both good prospects coming out too.

If we can land Johnson and Fletcher at least one "can't lock down South Florida" gripe will be settled, at least at RB.

I'm sure we're all excited

But I mean it's a long way home...we've gone all the way to signing day with Lakeland kids before.
I’ve never given us a chance on any Lakeland kid in memory (just me). Still assume he goes SEC.. but I love Mario quietly working behind the scenes.

why do you continually denigrate Flagg? it is starting to seem personal.
It is. They lump him in with players he hasn’t played nearly as bad as too. But those same guys were drooling for Sam brooks who was worse WHEN YOU TURN ON THE FILM. I’ve seen the film. I’ve heard it broken down. Most of these guys haven’t so the eye test is all they got and I get it. It gets worse than Corey on this team lol

Why Seymore? I thought he was a stud in waiting? You hearing something?
Too small. I’m actually 50/50 depending on who else they bring in for the 2023 class. But the other 2 i mentioned won’t play here.

Ben Boulware at Clemson won ACC DPOY being 6’, 235 lb with a verified 4.85 in the draft process, and it’s because he was put in situations that were within his means that set him up for success.

Being in a Manny Diaz defense having multiple OL getting to the second level to block you does not put you in good situations.

Flagg, who has a lot of intangibles like Boulware does, can be a good linebacker in the right scenarios. With a good d-line and a sustainable coaching philosophy now, I expect Flagg to be successful and play to his strengths.

this.

until we see what a player can do (a) with proper coaching, and (b) in a system that maximizes his abilities, and minimizes his weaknesses, .... i'm holding off any snap judgments.

maybe they become a much stronger player. maybe they don't get any better at all. but until you see what happens with (a) and (b), any conclusions are woefully premature.
