Arky St. offered to provide housing and practice facilities for our team in the event that they were stranded in Ark.

This just sums up the greaseball Canes fan mentality that a non-conference game and practice for the FSU game are truly the most important things we're facing here.

FAU is getting their annual budget paid for by going to Wisconsin.

FIU is staying in Alabama all next week.

Neither scenario is practical for our situation.

That thing flying past you is known as "the point".

Yeah, I know we "could" have spent a week in Arkansas, but keeping coaches and players away from town while their homes and families face catastrophic conditions is pretty stupid and is the kind of thing that CanesInsight posters would come up with.

If their families are staying in an area that is going to be devastated then poor decisions seem to be multiplying exponentially.

Right, just send everyone to Arkansas. We'll see what kind of devastation there is when we come back on the 16th.

There is a cat 5 hurricane headed toward your house. Are u gonna stay there or evacuate?

It's a pretty simple choice given what the country has already been through in the past month.

Why does it have to be an either or situation?

I'm guessing that it's too complex for you to figure out any other possible solution.

Adapt and overcome my plebe friend.

Nope, but I love how you quickly abandon the topic to make it personal. Win.

What possible situation are you referring to since you just said that everyone should be evacuating? Remember, you already said that the team will just hang out and practice in Arkansas.

At this point, you're just doubling down on your initial knee-jerk reaction. No one legitimately believes that it should just be business as usual.

No idea how you got so lost in the weeds on this one.

Family evacuates.
Players play.
Storm passes.
Life resumes.

It's a pretty simple formula given that humanity has known about Irma for over a week now.

Yes, you're the enlightened one who has figured it all out. The rest of us are just lost. This non-conference game is so important that we should already be in Arkansas while the families figure it all out. Deuces. See you in a week.

Who said that? I clearly stated that the families should have already evacuated.

At least try and stay coherent here.

Have you met residents in South Florida? Most of them are a stubborn as can be. Also, you are making a generalization that all these families have the ability TO evacuate. Not everyone has that ability (income) or a place to even go. Just because you say they should have left doesn't mean it is practical in every situation for them to.

Then what? They wait in Ocala 'til next Saturday while we're practicing for FSU?

Which part of this is so important for you? Your personal entertainment value? Are you upset that people are criticizing us? Do you think we need the reps that bad? Just trying to figure out the ultimate motivation, other than the obvious devils-advocate position.

He doesn't understand that the best option for a lot of the families of the players is to just hunker down on campus since it'd be the safest place for them to be.

Yeah, they may need the men in their lives to help evacuate, but don't they know that we need snaps before FSU?

I have many friends in the 305. Some are 8 figure earners others live in the hood.

All of them have already evacuated. I'm specifically talking about at least 6 families that I know of.

Does that answer your question?

It's not that important other than the fact that decisions were made without all of the data in place, and without fully exploring alternative solutions.

All my people have already evacuated. Is what it is.

You can't be serious with that.

And I'm sure that in four or five of those families, dad got them out of town and then went on to Arizona the golf trip he had planned. And if conditions in Miami are catastrophic, who cares? He has a place in Phoenix where he can stay.

Family evacuates.
Buddies play golf.
Storm passes.
Life resumes.

Did I do that right?

I know a single mother of 3 that evacuated without her pos baby daddy. Kids in tow.

Not sure what your trying to say.

You can't be serious with that.

Nope, not serious. It's impossible to believe that some of the families of our players might need the help of the 20 year old athlete. What was I thinking. All of our inner city players come from solid, stable two parent homes.
