I'm saying that once the fam is evacuated, it makes sense for one of the adults to take off and come back in a week. We can just all deal with the hurricane once the golf trip or football game is over and the airport reopens.
So if you could convince a female to sleep with you and you had children, could you see yourself dropping them off at a hotel and then leaving for a week? What kind of environment did you grow up in where that sounds reasonable?

It doesn't. Even though the actual storm will be gone by Monday morning, it doesn't matter if dad is gone until the following Saturday. We got this. Plus the Canez got their game in. Anyone have the number for State Farm while dad finishes his guys trip?

The woman I have kids with is more than up to that task. And then some.
I grew up in an environment where men go off and fight wars. Possibly to never come home and see their wives and children again. The wives seem to manage ok for months and sometimes years at a time.
The vast majority of people are not evacuating.
Why do people think that?
There are ballpark 8-9 million people in south Florida counting the west coast (not counting Tampa/St.Pete)
Other than in flood/evacuation areas, it's just not feasible.
Yes, there are some people hightailing it, but they number in the thousands, and have the roads already clogged up.
I don't know how many people have left the area, but out of the millions that are actually staying, by comparison it would be small.

Family can evacuate first with the "able bodied male" helping (because you obviously think no one can do anything without a man around) and still play the game or go golfing or whatever it is that is intimidating you right now.

There are a lot of things that we "could" do. Doesn't mean that any possible course of action is the wisest choice.
It still boils down to the question you carefully avoided: which part of this is fueling your anger the most? Because the rest of us have determined that a September non-conference game isn't worth leaving town for ten days while the family rots at a hotel.
