Good want the upper classman QB. No Ryan Williams ***** job.

Ryan Williams tearing his ACL was a ***** job?

he was ready for the Louisville game. Ask any player on that team.

Smells like revisionist history to me.

QB Williams Cleared To Play

Medically cleared for the 4th game - Nebraska. Everyone knows that.

Medically cleared doesn't necessarily mean ready to play, especially at the quarterback position.

Wasn't that the game Randy Gregory dominated our line?

lulz

Can't wait for the Kaayak apologists to spin this one.

Basically all the upperclassmen wanted Willimas to play. Everything Mongo said on the radio has been confirmed on here by apfenny.

But some people refuse to look facts in the face.

Haven't read past Pete's first post with the stats yet. Everyone claiming that they knew Perry wouldn't be the starter right away? Because that would be the opposite of what was actually being spewed on here the last 6 months.

I still think Perry starts.

Still say this is Perrys job to lose.Richt is gonna give this kid every chance he can to take the job.

That's why he went against the ones ( as is being reported) cause I think Richt wanted to see how he held up mental wise not necessarily how he played.Unless Rosier or Sherfiffs is head and shoulders above him I think the first game will be split between he and whoever,he gets most of the second and he's taking the start in the Nole game.

This is just my opinion of course and this will all change if he sh*ts the bed in all of the scrimmages and Rosier or Evan force Richt hand .But I just think CMR wants him back there and he will be given every opportunity to win the job...again jmo.

Pretty sure coach wanted to see how he held up mentally AND how he played - they are kinda related

So which qb was it against the 1st team defense? Or did they mix it up? That might put these qb stats in some proper context.

Looks like for the most part sheriifs and rosier went vs the 2s and perry vs the 1s.

I thought I read someone's post in Lu's thread that each one got time against the ones?

It would have been absolutely retarded for Rick to only give Perry reps against the first team D. This is spin from the guys looking to make excuses for their guy. Just face it. Rosier and Shirreffs are more effective right now.

Perry's been practicing a fcking week. No need to start twisting facts to make yourselves look better. This dude just got here. His eyes were probably as big as the "this house shoooo gone crazy" guy from the Three Stooges.

For all those shytting on Rosier it looks like maybe we should just put him in for situational plays like those situations when we need completions and TDs.

I think the whole "effective now" vs "the future" debate deserves its own thread (again). But, I fail to see why so many have emotionally invested in a particular QB candidate. Pick the guy who gives our badass defense the best chance of winning games and re-assess who's the best alternative at various points. It's ridiculously early in that process. Who knows what even happens over the next month.

Most agree Perry is the more gifted passer. But, Perry was not an EE. He's had to try to claw in to a race with two other guys. We've been taking Ls for over a **** decade. For now, give me the most effective and I'm thrilled to see wtf we do.

"Everyone knows that" but every one is saying something different. Sorry for bringing facts to the table.

A 5th year senior who's been with the team for 3 years would still probably have better timing, chemistry, and understanding of the playbook than a true freshman who just got to campus. But that's just my opinion. We've beaten this to death.

Exactly. I'm sure Alabaga had more talented QBs on the roster than McElroy and Sims and Coker, but they won with those guys. I just want to see whoever gives us the best chance to win right now, and that might not necessarily be the guy who can make the most occasionally spectacular plays.

For all those shytting on Rosier it looks like maybe we should just put him in for situational plays like those situations when we need completions and TDs.

I always thought Rosier was the Alpha since Perry first arrived. But it's still feast or famine with him. He will get you the big plays but still needs work on the accuracy and turnovers. No ints was big for him today. Sheriffs still the most steady. Had best completion ratio today but also plays it safe. And Richt may prefer heady and steady with a defense like ours that will keep opponents score to a minimum.

It's kind've insane that people expect Perry to start. Not only is it rare for a true frosh to start, but literally every recent one to do so (Buchele, Eason, Hurts, etc) has been there for Spring practice.

If Perry had been here for Spring ball, then he'd probably have a great shot to start. With just Fall camp, however, he isn't going to be starting against BCC.

Maybe he starts later in the year if Sherrifs/Rosier can't get it done, but as much potential as Perry has, he's too got too much to learn to start from Game 1. Even Deshaun Watson didn't start right away at Clemson

What part of accuracy and INTs did Rosier struggle with today? Looked like a lot of feast today.

Looks like sheriffs has the edge now.

What's all the hate on Rosier?

Im not a fan of either. But richt wants somebody that will take care of the ball and rosier can't be trusted to do that.

The first time he has the opportunity in a game situation in camp he doesn't turn the ball over and Richt has said he's made excellent decisions so far. Today suggests he might have changed.
