I saw cook play against Manatee and he looked like he was happy to be Yearbys backup. Really didn't look like he had the drive to win. Maybe he was just off that night or something.

How explosive is Lane out of his cuts? can't really tell on his highlight tape.

I'll cop to it that, the ring argument was a bad analogy, but I just don't think WR warrant that level of value anymore.

Wes Welker was what? A 5th Rounder?
Victor Cruz was undrafted
Brandon Marshall went in the 4th
Greg Jennings went 52nd overall
Vincent Jackson went 61st

You can find a receiver anywhere. Pass Rushers, Cover Corners, and QB's are at a much higher premium.

This year and yes he had plenty carries as Yearby was also playing QB. Can't remember if he played D but if he did it wasn't much.

Chad Thomas
Dalvin Cook
KC McDermott
Trevor Darling
Ermon Lane
Sony Michel
Quincy Wilson

COME ON DOWN

Cameron Wake was undrafted. Tom Brady...

Just sayin.

WR is the easiest position to find a good starter in the NFL. I don't think that has an effect on how high the elite studs get drafted. AJ Green type talents will always go in the top 10 no matter how easily you can find WR.

Don't sleep on K.C .He could one the best OL in South Florida in many ,many ,many years.

Cook at number 1. That guy dominated as the year went on and in some games just flat out took over. I have been saying it for a while but that kid CANNOT LEAVE THE HEART OF DADE to go play ball at freaking clemson. Just from his late season performance alone he earned the top spot. I love Ermon But think you are more bullish on him with him ahead of 6. Will say I think 6 junior year seemed more impactful than this year if that makes sense so its all good. Sony is a great player and I hope he fully recovers from the knee injury, cant wait to see him in the spring because he should have his mental confidence back by then. Collins in the top 5 is about right (I wonder how Lu will respond to him below Cook, I will say Collins was a better back this year, but he got injured at the end because of carrying a load and Cook turnt up to end the season)

Pete, noticed we attended alot of the same games, I dont know how many I made it to this year, yikes. Also not surprised but Central had alot of talent in that DB squad that will go D1, I really liked what I saw from the junior Deitrick Nichols and will be interested to see if he can get on the camp circuit and make a name for himself in the coming months. At the end of the day these kids can get a free education some where.

A big concern of mine and it has, IMO, been an issue for a while now is the lack of cant miss dominant DL.

Relatively speaking, I just don't undestand why we don't have 3-4 badass DL coming out down here every year. Forston is the last 5 star DT from south Florida. Other than Liuget, Lemonier, and Vernon...I can't think of any top tier DE from around here.

I can't explain it. Why is there not a Clowney, Nkemdiche type every year.

What impresses me most about Cook is his vision. Kid has outstanding feet, speed and great wiggle but his vision really stands out to me.

Btw, great work Pete.

No real issues with the Top 10. Matthew Thomas is probably the best overall prospect, but taking all of the criteria into account Cook deserves to be #1. Not only did he ball out in the state playoffs, but he also went off in the unofficial South Florida championship against Booker T.

I like Lane at #2 because he means so much to Homestead. We know he is a five-star talent at WR, but he also plays every special team and starts at corner. Homestead gives him reverses, uses him at H-back and tries to get him the ball in every manner possible. Northwestern put two guys on him like he was a gunner on the punt team.
