2023 flagship class is a good exampleAs a team recruiting has not been anywhere near consistent. Until that happens we won't be a top 10 team or program.
That's not mopey or slurper that's the truth. Argue for talking points all you want. We might be competitive at some point. Looking at Clemson who is the favorite we would struggle to beat that team 9 of 10 times.
You said Miami hasn't recruited consistently. Then you said Clemson would beat us 9 times out of 10. I gave you the stats that show that argument is flawed.I never said he didn't have success. His top 10 finishes are consistent. 2 things can be true. You're telling me he's consistently recruited every position so that Miami has zero positions of concern?
That's all I was trying to convey. And why it matters, at least in my opinion. We can agree to disagree.
I would rip Kirby the same way with the offensive holes with UGA. You can also see what having a lethal defense every year can do for wins and losses. The defense Miami ran out on the field last year was G5.
Meh, a lot of programs have used the portal to put out fires. Look at Texas last year. Mukuba, Golden, Bond, Bolden, Moore. A lot of their DLine depth was portal players.Recruiting has been the best that it’s been for a long long while. The issues are as follows though.
That 3 year run while very good is not elite. 24 was the one year you can say was elite. Look we know Mario has his warts as a coach but he is supposed to earn his keep recruiting. While in the aggregate he has done well, again jury is out on elite.
We have been told by multiple reputable posters that we are top 5 if not top 3 NIL wise. Well we need the receipts to match. Still a long way to go but anything short of top 5 is a miss.
Lastly, we have struggled with roster management and balance. Whether it’s CB, LB, S or DT we always are putting out fires. Thank God for the transfer portal here. Still we are in year 4 and the roster while great ACC standards wise is far far away from being elite even on paper.
