Winning helps land those types of playersWe have got to do better with our DT recruiting. We will never get where we want to go(Deep playoff run and Conference and national championships) if we do not improve here.
I love you D$. I truly do but spare me with the excuses about salting mangoes and James Johnson being from New Jersey. Jackson Cantwell is from Missouri and Israel Briggs is from California so what's the point? Just get it done!
Also something that Pete said really struck me. He said the issues with WR and DB recruiting remain issues. Look, this CB class if we add Brody Jennings is very good but having no safeties committed at this time is not good. I love the new secondary coaches Zac Etheridge and Will Harris and to be fair they will likely be more effective on the trail with another year under their belts.
Recruiting bigtime WRs remains a difficulty to be honest. We won't get Calvin Russell and Keys is possible but will be extremely difficult. I love kids like Spafford and Evans but we need to start landing the type of kids that Ohio State covets.
Overall I love what we are doing in terms of recruiting the OL. Add Breck Kolojay and this becomes the best OL class in Miami history. Actually it may be the best even without Kolojay. Running back and TE recruiting continue to be excellent as well as DE. The LBs in this class so far Edwards and Campbell are a move in the right direction which was desperately needed.
Since the 2022 class UGA has 5 vs our 2. If you count Lightfoot and Blount for us since they were fringe 5* then we have 4. UGA had a few other fringe 5* DL though too.Are we all FN retarded?
I mean seriously... didn't we just post a stat a few months back that showed Miami had more 5 star DL in the last 4 years than just about anyone in college (including Georgia and Alabama)?
Couple posts of note..the winning solves everything guy and the guy *****ing about "mopes" not appearing in crootin threads unless it's bad news.Which way though? The slurpers and mopes are both moving the goal posts if you ask me.
Ahh so you feel the goal posts are moved by the slurpers. Got it.Couple posts of note..the winning solves everything guy and the guy *****ing about "mopes" not appearing in crootin threads unless it's bad news.
It's always some excuse around here to mask continuing failure
You're right - we need more at DT. 7 over that time period is way too low.Since the 2022 class UGA has 5 vs our 2. If you count Lightfoot and Blount for us since they were fringe 5* then we have 4. UGA had a few other fringe 5* DL though too.
What sets UGA apart is littering their classes with top 100 DL every cycle. If you land 4 every year then you’re likely to hit on some game changer type kids. We landed 7 and they landed 14 since 2022.
You are 100% correct stating winning solves those problems. Mario needs to get UM in the playoffs and win the ACC. That's what he's being paid for and so far it's been a disappointment.Winning helps land those types of players
Recruiting the way we are despite our performance is pretty ******* good
Recruiting Rankings...As a team recruiting has not been anywhere near consistent. Until that happens we won't be a top 10 team or program.
That's not mopey or slurper that's the truth. Argue for talking points all you want. We might be competitive at some point. Looking at Clemson who is the favorite we would struggle to beat that team 9 of 10 times.
Recruiting has been the best that it’s been for a long long while. The issues are as follows though.Recruiting Rankings...
2023
Miami: 7th
Clemson: 11th
2024
Miami: 4th
Clemson: 11th
2025
Miami: 14th
Clemson: 26th
This doesn't include the portal classes. Miami has been in the top 10 every year since Mario arrived and Clemson doesn't even participate.
What am I Missing here? Like Mario as a coach can be questioned but how does anyone question the recruiting?
Yes it was the most 5 star trench players which includes OL and DE. We are specifically referring to DTs here however where we have 1(Justin Scott) in that same time frame. Are we all FN retarded?
I mean seriously... didn't we just post a stat a few months back that showed Miami had more 5 star DL in the last 4 years than just about anyone in college (including Georgia and Alabama)?
I never said he didn't have success. His top 10 finishes are consistent. 2 things can be true. You're telling me he's consistently recruited every position so that Miami has zero positions of concern?Recruiting Rankings...
