He isn’t as good as the receivers we have committed. We don’t want him. He was never a five star. His ranking was based purely unmeasurable and he has a really long way to go to meet that talent level if he ever does.
Well, I guess we should fire Mario and hire Manny back. And hope and pray he goes 7-5 and finds a cosmically ****ed up way into the conference championship game.
That's apparently a better way to get there than what Mario has shown with far better talent.
The man is a great recruiter but meh as **** on gamedays sometimes.

Look at Manny sitting at 16th out of 17 teams in ACC recruiting, with #17 being UVA, the two teams in the ACCCG!
and that's why you can't ever fire your coach under today's system. We are stuck with Mario for a long time, his recruiting is great, now he needs to go hit the recruiting trail even during the season and hire a gameday coach to handle those pesky games we have to play every year!
It's funny, but I don't like this. I would rather they loaded up their class with ****** 3 star recruits. What they're doing now... they'll have to load up in the portal which they WILL do because they have money. Then they're competing with us for guys we want.

They still need to make a coaching hire, and it needs to be a good one to get even remotely decent portal additions. Not to mention, adding that much from the portal gives no "team" feel and they will not gel together. This will put them back many, many years!
We would have been in it this year if the ACC didn't have its head up their *** when it came to their tiebreakers. There were 5 teams with 6-2 records in ACC play and somehow the team that went 0-2 against the other 4 teams wins the tiebreaker because of the BC-Syracuse game result.
They don't have a HC I would question why those 2 recruits would sign with PSU right now. Hard to sign with a school not knowing who the HC or the rest of their staff will be.
I think that's what Miami had after Shannon left. No scheduled officials. I'm sure they will just spend $25 mil in the portal and try to Mel Tucker their way into a good season.
Brohm turned them down today. That's like candidate number 7 to decline. The elite portal kids want to win/be on big stage. We might lose a depth piece or two due to PSU overpaying but that already happens. Auburn will doing the same thing. (Texas Tech, etc).
