I know this much: @CharlesRobinson handed the NCAA one **** of a case on Miami. If they couldn't prosecute it properly, that's on them.

Gonna go buy me some roller blades and skate around campus

I gotta echo the anti-skating stuff. Man we have already been bent over backwards by these ***** especially when you consider the monumental amount of potato that's been involved in the "investigation".

They need to start thinking about repaying our cooperation.

They should let us pay for 1 recruit for the next 2 years. Would at least even the playing field with the $EC.

Or maybe he didnt since those who investigate for a living, had to go through illegal means to find anything concrete.

Statement from Shalala
“Since the University first alerted the NCAA to the possibility of violations more than two years ago, we have been cooperative and compliant with the NCAA and, I believe, a model for how institutions should partner with NCAA staff during investigations. In addition to encouraging current and former staff members and student-athletes to cooperate with investigators, we have provided thousands of documents to the enforcement staff.

I am frustrated, disappointed and concerned by President Emmert’s announcement today that the integrity of the investigation may have been compromised by the NCAA staff.

As we have done since the beginning, we will continue to work with the NCAA and now with their outside investigator hoping for a swift resolution of the investigation and our case.

I want to thank our community for their continued support and patience.

Stand with the U.”

This is rad. That includes most, if not all, of the info that Peewee corroborated re: Shapiro during his deposition in the bankruptcy proceeding.

If he corroborated it, though, couldn't they still use the information, just with PeeWee as the source?

My understanding is that when Peewee was initially interviewed by the NCAA, which was before his depo in the BK (BK = bankruptcy) case, he gave them nothing. Fast forward to his depo, which was administered under oath, and Peewee spilled his guts. If I recall correctly, an NCAA representative attended the depo as a bystander with no involvement in the underlying BK case. What Peewee said at his BK depo purportedly corroborated a lot of what Shapiro said to a certain extent. What I don't know, based on all of the news reported thus far, is whether Peewee subsequently talked to the NCAA independently from the underlying BK case and told the NCAA the same info he testified to in his depo.

Just realized I didn't answer the question. If Peewee did not speak to the NCAA after his depo, then whatever info the NCAA learned of during the depo is inadmissible. If Peewee spoke to the NCAA after his depo on his own, then whatever info he gave them at the subsequent interview would probably be admissible. Thus, the issue is whether he was interviewed by the NCAA again after his BK depo.

No

Why not, though? I'm not a lawyer, but if the information came from another source, as well, couldn't they still use it, citing that source instead of the bankruptcy hearings?

because it doesn't have to do with what peewee said

Well, the release on the NCAA site is definitely something that could favor us moreso than hurt the program. However, the delay in the investigation completion cannot be a good thing for current and future recruiting efforts. It seems to extend the cloak of negative recruiting darkness on Golden.

im asssuming you basically have to throw that information out completely. kinda like u never got it to begin with because in reality they were not supposed to have access to that information and would not have anyone corroborating that information afterwards
