He'd be the only reach in this class, but for whatever reason, they've liked him for a while.

Shrug.

This kid actually has some talent! Nice size and athleticism, and a cycle in our program will only boost him even further!!

I think you guys are down on him, due to our recent dud's that have come from MNW....

But I looked at this kid's play, and though he might not be as polished as the American Heritage kids (currently), with coaching I think we have something here.

In addition to CB, this kid can play WR and is a nice KR/PR as well; and has D1 speed.

I'm with the staff on this evaluation.. He's a take!

I'd still rather see Miami offer this Taiyon Palmer kid from Archer in GA. Bigger, seems more polished, played on a winning team. Oh well.

My point is UCF went undefeated -- who else did? And Butch offered the kid. Like Butch or not, one name is enough to make anyone pay attention to a kid he offers that other don't -- Ed Reed. And I think he was the Dline coach and recruiting co-coordinator who offered a kid in Chicago flipping burgers named Russell Maryland. Just saying he might be worth the shot since our bigger targets got away.

The bold is what has to stop happening, point blank.

UCF would have lost if they played in power 5 conference. Pathetic schedule. Butch isn't the only coach with an eye for talent.. Al Golden thought he was the smartest guy in the room. I'd trust the consensus.

watched his senior hudl.

i understand the measurables, but not going to expect much outta him save for some practice reps and an eventual transfer.

Would love to get Liberty City El's perspective on this. Ill run with whatever he says but if we are taking flyers..this is the type of kid you do it for.

Here you go:

He had 4rec 61yds vs CC back in October
1rec 52yds & 1TD vs Central
3rec 90yds vs Norland
4rec 72yds vs CC in the playoffs

He was used primarily as a Deep ball WR to stretch the field & take the top off the Defense in a QB run first offense with Tutu.

He's a versatile athlete with good speed, good feet & hips, he's not just some bum that's a 25th hour add. He's a take imo.

For a comparison I would say he's a taller Kayvon Webster with similar speed.

checked out his track times and was expecting a little faster. Never broke 10.8 or 22 for 100/200, it seems.

so his speed is legit.

i dont mind taking him, just not expecting much.

For some reason when I say the name Nigel Bethel it immediately makes me think and say Philo Beddoe. Anybody else have that happen to them?

..watch we take Bethal over all these knucklehead objections and he ends up running the opening kickoff back for a td against the gaytors in 2019

You'll see a player like Bethel in alot of classes. Bama seems take a 3 star kid without that impressive of an offer sheet at least once a year. Some times staffs just fall in love with a player.

this board is so inconsistent. everyone cries for local kids to get an offer then they do & its no good.

I tell you if he come she'll likely be the fastest kid in the class. Hes a legit track guy
