Losing Campbell would be devastating but this isn’t Golden. We have four real DBs in the boat, three of whom were recruited by everyone. Bethel would add some much needed speed and upside.

If a 6’1, 4.35 corner from Northwestern made the league, and we missed him, there would be **** to pay. Bethel’s traits are unique and highly valued at corner. If he’s coachable, bring him in and develop him.

D, what's the deal with his lack of offers? You'd think he'd have more P5 offers.

Do you think Nick Saban doesn't know that this kid runs a 4.35 (if that time is even legit)?

Do you think Kirby Smart doesn't know about this kid.... who plays at the most visible and heavily recruited high school in America?

Not good enough for those guys but good enough for Miami, apparently.

Yet when it comes to offering Nick Bonitto or Xavier Peters, we don't have room. But we're gonna take this scrub that noone else wants? Yeah no thanks.

I'm not even talking about Bama. I mean, where's Auburn? Louisville? Kentucky? Indiana? I mean, I'm seeing UCF, Akron, FIU, and Bowling Green as offers. Just doesn't compute.

PASS.

This kid is not Miami material.

The offer reeks of desparation. This is Larry Hope level stuff.

This is an Al Golden camp special. Not only "no,"....but **** no.

Save the ship for next year. And don't **** up again. Maybe hire someone who can actually recruit.

**** not even Nate Dortch-esque?

I suspect he has more than reported. He wasn’t really a camp/media guy.

The unknown is the mental makeup. Sometimes the Plan B guys have Plan B character. I don’t know anything about Bethel. But if he’s a good kid, it’s easy to see the upside. I saw him in person against Central and he stood out physically.

Thanks. Also, is he really 6'1? Other places saying he's 5'10.

Y’all some soft grown men. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Bethel is nice. When I see that offer list I think possible qualifying issues.

Pass, there are better dbs we can get in the 2019 class.

Looked closer to 6’1 than 5’10 from where I stood.

And yet nobody else in America wants him, outside of UCF and Tulane.

If Bethel wanted to commit to Georgia, could he? If Bethel called up Nick Saban and tried to commit, would that commitment be accepted?

We can not be taking these 3-star leftovers.

Every other college coach in America did not miss on Bethel's evaluation. He just isn't good.

There are quite a few DBs in the NFL from soFla who played college ball at smaller schools.
That is one position where you can find talent if you look hard enough.
Yeah, we all want the Campbells, Surtains, Samuels but there are others out there.
It sounds to me that you analyze players strictly by how many stars they have.
That's kinda lazy.

Bethel is a plan D guy. Offering him, means we missed on both Campbell and Surtain. So Bethel will be getting his offer very soon and some will find a way to paint that as something positive.

I see the argument "save the scholarship for a 2019 db" being thrown around a lot. Are we in a position we need to save scholarships? I say take him, he is athletic and fast with upside and can contribute on special teams. Plus he goes to a pipeline school. Who knows could help with Sam Brooks

Offer bethel already. it makes no sense to go home with nothing. Bethel can contribute at UM.

I want him this class even if we get Campbell and Surtain

How does offering him after missing on maybe the 2 best corners in the nation = plan D?

The kid is plan B, plain and simple...You take Plan B kids from Miami NW/Miami Central/BTW, etc...In a heartbeat

Every scholarship we don't spend this cycle we can use on an EE in the next cycle.

Are we in position to have that many EEs? From what I have seen we are not hurting for scholarship spots
