Vern, I finally reached simpatico with you, my dude. It ain't bleak visions to acknowledge player limitations. Carter's is his stiffness in space. Flagg's is he's both undersized and slow. I'd rather go Carter if he can actually hold up at LB.

Yeah i know he wouldn't have done that but he should have been canned like Enos. Also definitely should have been canned after UNC. Instead he let a back up QB play like Brady and cost is a bowl game. You are latching on to semantics. Diaz had to recognize problems sooner is a fact. He is done good things making changes,im not denying that.

RB screens which IIRC Bill O'Brien used alot with the Texans is where a guy like AC can really help us at Striker. Mannys over aggressive defense will lend to a few shots at screens and we need AC to make those plays.

After seeing that breakdown, **** count me in now! AC at Striker just might make sense in the right situations. And many of those highlights were from 4 years ago so hes physically more imposing now and that much more knowledgable about the D. I am interested to see if a game like Bama is where he can shine.

Yea like another poster said I like Carter at Stirker 1st and 2nd down, 3rd down and long put in Amari Carter and Keontra SMith at LInebacker and GIl at Striker who is the better cover guy and less stiff.. Flagg should have the least amount of snaps at LB out of the starters IMO. I sure hope dude improved tho man but his ceiling is low

Im looking at this video and I hate how Manny’s defense lines up before the snap… no uniformity or cohesion and gives away the weak spots.

Yeah that defense was fun to watch! We played Mano y Mano on the outside and let our athletes run wild. It was beautiful when things were clicking.

I think the bigger question is how many snaps will Amari avg in each game before he has to sit out for his targeting penalty.

Don't want to see Flagg on the field on any downs. Bama doesn't ever seriously consider recruiting guys like Flagg. That alone should tell people what we're up against. He wouldn't even make Bama's roster.

How is flagg small and slow and still able to come to UM and just snatch a starting LB spot, wtf is going on?! lol.. We dont have not ONE LB on this roster that is impact player, at UM?!

This place acts as if Manny was somehow with another team last year. How does he get such a pass? He was HERE as head coach. He could have used Carter any way he wanted. He was the boss! All these mistakes on running a defense last year still fall to Manny. It’s not like he is now showing up and all our ills will be corrected now that he is 50% dc and 50% hc.

Good call by you! AC was grossly miss-used by Baker. He is a downhill player and moves good enough in traffic at and behind the line of scrimmage. And he knows what to do when he arrives. I’m hoping he has a really big year…….starting with Bama.

Correct. Despite what some think, Bama is not finese or circus explosive.

Saban coming with a concrete pole and he forgot the astroglide.

They are going to look to establish total dominance at LoS, and everything falls into place with that.
