Thanks for doing this write up!

Interesting comment about Washington 👀

It’s not where we need to be at LB but we are starting to turn the corner there. It’s been the most disappointing position by far for me on this team the last few years given our recruiting grounds. We should never be that ****** across the board at LB

I will say I’m disappointed that a seemingly easy fix of not auto playing the video when these threads are opened up hasn’t been addressed yet

It’s pretty ******* annoying

I agree he will be better. But he has similar strengths and weaknesses.
I see the similarities. Chantz and Jayden are both bigger body DE's coming in with good athletic profiles, but I also thought Wayne while may not as straight line of athlete as Chantz was sorta similar, and didn't show great bend and flexibility off the edge.

Big DE's who do a good job setting the edge, and can get to the QB through stunts and effort and straight line speed and power.

Bain is different in that he can bend and contort his body to get by the OL and get to the QB while also possessing more short area quickness.

Good stuff, D. I am not as bullish as you are about our DL. Obviously, Mesidor is our stud and Taylor has the potential to be that dude but needs to be consistent. Beyond those guys, there are a lot of ifs, buts, and undersized dudes.

More 12 personnel for Dawson isnt bc our “talented” TEs. It’s the difference between Mario and Holgerson.

“Two-tight end sets, otherwise known as 12 personnel, have become increasingly popular over the last few years. The grouping features one running back, two tight ends and two wide receivers.

Georgia used 12 personnel at times last season. but will use it much more often this year and with more variety. The Bulldogs have two uber-talented tight ends in Darnell Washington and Brock Bowers and coaches want them on the field at the same time.”

12 doesn’t mean we’re running 80% of plays. But what does Monken know.

Can you expound here, admittedly your comment in the OP scared the **** out of me.
I think Wayne will be better than Chantz (who is currently a starter and will have a role). He’s more flexible and more talented. Overall, he is a keeper.

But I see both guys as base ends with tools that give you run defense and hustle/footspeed sacks. Neither guy is a pure pass rusher who beats tackles with finesse and craft. Still early for Wayne.

Does UGA run an Air Raid?

What are Bissainthe's "strengths and weaknesses" at this point? I recall the tremendous recruiting hype and the jubilation when he signed.

Washington and Bowers vs Skinner and an 8th year transfer. Pretty comparable.

Good stuff @DMoney ! This team has a long ways to go but if we get improvement at offensive line and stay a bit more healthy, I think things will come together nicely. Excited to see the young guys continue to develop!
