Am I seeing the wrong stats? Because according to Sports Illustraed and MaxPreps, neither was a runner. And both had pick issues. Riley Leonard they are not.

Minchey High School Stats from Maxpreps

Stop bringing facts!!!

You didnt know he is Tony Rice?? C'mon man!!!

Let me be perfectly clear:

I know ND is a very good football team. I know Freeman is a good coach, I know they have a lot of good athletes. They competed for a national title last year. They have recruited well and hit the portal well.

I know CJ Carr was a very highly ranked recruit, and is very talented. He might very well turn out to be a high-level player.

But you cannot, under any circumstances, let a kid who has never, in his life, thrown a pass in a collegiate football game, walk into your building, on Labor Day weekend, at night, in front of a billion people on TV and the singular most repulsive, terrifying, and hostile environment HE WILL EVER SEE......and beat you.

I'm sorry. I know ND is favored. I know they're "better" on paper. I don't give a ****. Maybe the kid learns a ton from this game and is lights-out the rest of his career. ****, maybe he wins a Heisman. But the very first time he takes the field, IN THAT ******* ZOO, he dies. Period. If he goes like 9/16 for 134 yards, but ND wins some other way, I'll tip my cap. But that kid can't beat you. You have to make his life a living ****. DM his old lady. Call his hotel room all night before the game. Rock the buses. Whatever we have to do for him to be ****ting down his leg. You can't lose to a kid playing ball for the first time, not with how good our team is. It's time to hunt.

Expect a trick play on legitimately every change of possession and special teams opportunity.

Oh yeah, and don’t f***ing fumble.
Yea freeman is aggressive. Goes for it on 4th a ton. Obviously with their QB last year, anything 4th and short was a green light. Then they fake punt also.

cannot believe the idiots in the media trying to play off like our inexperience at WR is a problem and yet a dude playing his first collegiate snap at QB is no issue
This Miami is inexperienced at WR narrative, is the furthest thing from the truth lol. At Slot, X, and Z there is a player on the depth chart with over 1,400 snaps played in his college career.

  • CJ Daniels RSR, 2,257 snaps, 2,439 receiving yards, 21 touchdowns
  • Keelan Marion 7th year SR, 1,517 snaps, 1,125 receiving yards, 7 touchdowns
  • Tony Johnson RSR, 1,491 snaps, 1,118 receiving yards, 13 touchdowns
  • JoJo Trader SO, 99 snaps, 91 receiving yards, 1 touchdown

Miami has the second most returning snaps played and production in the ACC. Yes Miami receivers are not experienced in the Miami system, but to call them inexperienced is just completely false.

The Miami Hurricanes ran the ball on 45.3% of their offensive plays in 2024. This means they passed the ball on 54.7% of their plays.

Our fans are the worst. Sheesh.
Calm your ****. I must have heard it wrong cuz I swear Dawson said it a while back

Need to respect your opponent! Notre Dame has twenty, 20 defensive linemen! They are going to pound it and try to wear us out. Let’s hope our great offensive line can handle them and Carson goes for over 300 yards like Walsh, Erickson and Vinny did.
**** them AND those weak *** 20 defensive linemen boaaa

They’ll be running the ball a lot.
That could play into Miami’s hands. Love is not a workhorse (often injured in 2024), and the absence of a running QB is really going to affect the way they run their offense. Leonard as a QB had 184 attempts for 906 yards, 4.92 per carry and 17 TD.

He had 21 more carries than Love and 64 more than Price. That tells me that their offense lives and dies by the QB run and now they have a statue back there.

In 2024 there was not one game where Love ran the ball more than 16 times and only 5 games over 100 yards. FSU held him to 9 carries for 19 yards LOL

Jadarian Price in 2024, only had one game over 100 yards and not a single game with more than 12 carries.

Carr ran for over a thousand more yards in High School than Minchey.
How is Minchey a duel threat & Carr a statue?

Go watch Carr’s HS film. His HS OL was horrible & he was running all over the place throwing off-platform.
He’s not a run first QB, but he is very mobile in the pocket & runs well.

And he won't be running against Ohio high school defenses on August 31st either.

I saw a slow statue throwing to another slow, lumbering TE. Let's eat.

In last 3 years, Only Maiva for USC (air raid dna 👀) and Drake Maye in '22 have gone for over 300 yards on freeman defense. In '23 they held 11 opponents in 13 games under 200 yards passing and last year they held 10 in 16 games under 200. In '22 9 times in 13 games. They do play service academies but still.. Impressive.
Good thing their DC is gone. That ******* piece of ****.
