Do we expect him to run at all? All we said last season was that Richt was only showing pieces of playbook in the first few games, when in reality it turned out, we had very offensive playcalling. Will Malik mix it up?

If Rosier ain't picking up at least 2-3 First Downs per game with his legs, Richt's doing something wrong.

What does Rosiers ability to improvise have to do with Richt?

I think the post is about Richt calling designed run plays for Rosier.

Excited to have a QB1 named. Now he can get all the first team preps and go into full-on prep mode for the season. He can gain chemistry with his WRs. The OL can get familiar with his style of pocket movement and running tendencies. He can become comfortable with his personnel. And he can be consistently challenged running with the 1s.

Well with the quarterback controversy behind us, I guess there's just one thing left to do...

This is how I found out, let no one tell you Miami isn't always ******* on their minds or relevant.....

Richt doesnt have to do that just like he didnt do it with Ward. Rosier should know when to pick up a 1st down with his legs without designed runs.

Youve got a much better chance picking up a 1st down running on a regular passing than on a designed run.

i remember that last play against duke last year and I told my wife " he's starting next year. He took off for like 30 yes and the whole squad went nuts.
And yeah he also ran a lot in high school here's the film

Serious question. What would our records be if Perry or Shirreffs were named the starter?

If richt gave perry all the attention to get him better , we go undefeated

No way around it you're an idiot.

He's band. That's 3 accounts now. I'm gonna miss his PM's.

Jalen will be back...with a new IP address and a new screen name.

Straight troll nerd, no way someone can be a real fan of a team then **** on them on social media. Couldn't stand our previous staff but no way was I ****ting on the players who decided to put on that U.

Yeah... Hard to argue. The Jalen stuff I'm convinced he really believes because he PM's me chastising me for not supporting some of his crazy shît but raining on Rosier's parade at the time of the announcement is just bad form.

Once again #IndyKillsTrollsDead

Maturity, leadership, mobility...he has them.

for as much as everyone (included me) wanted n'kosi to win the job, a true freshman QB starting game 1 is just incredibly rare. jacob eason -- a much higher rated QB than n'kosi -- was in a similar situation last year (greyson lambert is way worse than rosier actually) and didn't start. we all know about jameis, deshaun, etc. shea patterson, sam darnold were all eased in. you can go down the list.

and those teams that are led by freshman QBs (ucla/josh rosen, texas/shane buechele, miami/brad kaaya...) experience the sort of growing pains we want to avoid with the kind of defense and skill position talent we have.

do wonder tho if people inside the program will regret not having made recruiting brad to come back more of a priority tho...
Odd seeing my name here without me

Think he's the logical choice. Sherriefs is limited in his ability to make all the throws and Perry just isn't ready yet. I will root for Malik to ball but I have a feeling CMR will have him on a short leash should he get careless with the ball. I still expect to see Perry at some point this year. It may just be garbage time reps, but I feel Richt will still wanna get him ready ASAP.

I talked to a head coach for a very good High School Coach here in Central Florida (Cocoa High) about this situation and he said that he would NOT let a True Freshman start in college unless it was absolutely needed. Recipe for disaster he said, he told me this. N’Kosy will be a beast but he needs more coaching and development.

lol you couldnt talked to a coach of a very bad high school or someone with a brain and gotten the same answer

Malik is fast but not a very elusive runner from what I have seen. Hoping he will surprise me.

I think this benefit Perry... That announcemet was a 1000 lb weight lifted from his chest... now he can focus on being the best he can be...

Good perspective and great to hear. Perry needs a semester under his belt, ball out in the spring and come what may this time next year. Ideal is for Perry to be the starter next year and for Rosier to be the very capable backup.

You honestly think if we go 11-2 or 12-2 and Rosier has a very good season that he is going to be the backup next year? In that scenario, there is NO WAY Rosier doesn't become a grad transfer.

LoL, season hasn't even started and the guy holding the clipboard is better than the starter. Perry will get his chance if he remains patient. As a matter of fact, when Miami is great the quarterback in waiting pays his dues and steps right in without missing a beat. Perry is good to be the next great one. Rosier just needs to be very good for us with the defense we have in place.

He earned it the moderately hard way against this 2nd string defense.... he's prolly ready.

Fixed it for you ;)

YOu do know they all got reps against 1st and 2nd team D, right?

If you think Rosier put up them scrimmage numbers against the #1 D then...

In the same scrimmage he went up against both Ds. He didn't score the TDs against them, but yes some of his completions and yardage were against the 1st team D. We saw as much in the scrimmage clips. You're clowning right now, dude.

I imagine you overly committed to the Perry bandwagon. Don't worry. Perry will be a stud. It just takes time
