Sadly, as a gables resident I know they would never allow that. Drop that into Tropical and now we are talking. As far as a multi-use facility.....please don't incorporate soccer! Makes the field too **** wide and the stands start too far away. Obviously if that's the only choice....oh well, but that's the worst aspect of Sun Life.

I hear you guys. But, i wanted to show what a little ambition can bring to the table. This was designed by our students. Pretty awesome if you ask me.
Tropical Park is a viable option but, don't sleep on the Magic City Casino property. If it happens, you heard it hear first.

Tried see what Duke's looks like for $22 million....this is the only picture I could find.

You forget we are not a state funded school. Every piece of equipment our hated rivals have, every piece of food they eat on campus, the 3 books they are required to read during 4 years to graduate are all paid for by taxes which Florida residents pay, including Dade County.

I saw Miami had **** near a $700 million dollar endowment, wtf is it used for???... and everybody keeps saying how Shalala is such a great school fund raiser, where does the money go towards??

They demolished the ones behind Pavia. I lived in that **** hole for 2 years as a Fr and So, but it was fun ******* around and giving 0 ***** about messing anything up.

Exactly! High School football games could also be scheduled there. International and MLS Soccer (if they bring a team to Miami - calling Mr. Beckham) There's definitely opportunity to make money during off season.

It is not the DONOR's job to come to UM and make it rain on this *****. It is Blake's job to organize and plan for this, hence why I don't think Blake is the man for the job.

That is why I keep saying, how about a NEW plan? With a new fundraising campaign?

Since they make them stop practice cause of a little rain, we need the indoor one. Lights would also be nice. But, our own roofed stadium would do all those things. Joe Robbie or whatever it is called sucks. Fins have not won crap since they went there and neither have we. The Marlins should have it -- they actually won something there. Never be the same without a proper house. We need short fast grass for our atheletes and closer to field for the fans. The OB was the best. Scary as ****, always about to fall down when you stomped your feet, and took you life in your hands getting to and from night games. Crime of century for it to be lost. We will win again, but would be easier with our own house. Still, nice to see some effort to improve facilities.

Technically there is a facility there, and there is an existing infrastructure to support large sporting events. Parking and access are big obstacles building something like that from scratch, and Tropical park already has that to a large degree.

I'll be playing the powerball, you never know.
