4-Star Miami CB Commit Kenton Dopson Reclassifies to the 2026 Class

Miami Hurricanes four-star cornerback commit Kenton Dopson is moving up a grade, officially reclassifying from the 2027 class to 2026.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound cornerback from Miami Norland (Miami, FL) originally committed to the Hurricanes back in March. Dopson was one of the top overall prospects in the 2027 cycle, ranked as a top-100 player nationally and the No. 9 cornerback in his class.

As a sophomore at Norland, Dopson totaled three interceptions and 16 tackles, earning MaxPreps All-American honors for his standout play.

Dopson’s recruitment has drawn major national attention, holding more than 30 scholarship offers from schools around the country. His offer list includes Miami, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Texas, Texas A&M, Auburn, Penn State, North Carolina, and South Carolina, among many others.

Now set to join the 2026 class, Dopson’s move up gives Miami an elite defensive back a year earlier than expected.

O' Dare is one who advised Restrepo not to play in the bowl game, but he ran a 40 at pro day. Also shopped Colbie Young to UGA, had TVD flirting with Alabama post spring.

Not sure if he was involved with Horton.

Dumb decision? I absolutely believe so in the long term. However as a realist you are taught a dollar today is worth more than a dollar tomorrow. You should never be arrogant enough to believe tomorrow is promised. So if you can change your fams life do it today!
