There’s a very fine line between ****y/confident/arrogant etc. Some people just interpret it the wrong way.
Exactly and these media people act like they’re doing you a favor or something. Meaning you should be glad. Now should they be respectful? Of course, but there was no attitude in that interview before the ELITE11.

**** just watched his film for the first time.

We got a baller. You can’t convince me he wouldn’t be a 5 star if he was 6’2”+

I know the staff is extremely comfortable with the transfer portal QB method when our sole QB targets the last 2 years have been high 3 star/low 4 star guys. Clearly they value saving money at that position from a HS recruiting perspective. Not saying Coleman/Nickel can’t be great but the money is there to pursue top 10 guys at the position and we just don’t.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I'm not that upset with 247's treatment of Coleman.

For starters, high school quarterbacks are a crapshoot in general. There's a lot of room for subjectivity.
I don’t think Coleman is an NFL QB, but Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, Mahommes, Josh Allen were all 3-stars

The guy that just won the NC was a mid 3 star. Will Howard

Luke was a high 4 star and won a Championship in a very good Georgia division. He actually was the star of that team.

Never understood why we didn’t full court press Henderson from Houston. Take them both if the coaches love Gary Coleman so much

Coleman kind of reminds me of pre injury McKenzie Milton. Short in stature but a quick release and solid athlete. Milton was bigger but both short.

Maybe he's taken another step ... we shall see

It’d have to be a continental sized jump.

I’ve seen this guy in person enough to know he can’t process information fast.

And this is the maybe the most important trait for a QB, but it’s almost impossible to measure in camp settings. Which is the precise reason that I think camps and 7 on 7 for QB’s are virtually meaningless. All these QB’s standing back comfortably going thru reads knowing that they won’t be hit. It’s ridiculous.

As I posted in another thread, this is the equivalent of deciding who is the best shooter from playing a game of HORSE.

Not gonna lie, I've thought the same of his HS film. Looks more decisive in the 7v7 setting.

Not a high 4 star. He was the 16th ranked QB and the 247 overall player.
