Your Coaching Wishlist for 2015

Chud or Schiano. We would be **** lucky to get either and if you think otherwise, Golden has a scholarship for you

I would love be able to find the next Gus Malzahn or Kevin Sumlin, but if we can't, I think Schiano would be an excellent choice.

**** man, I would love to find that too. But ****, these ******** in charge? No way we find that. Best I can hope for is a budding coach looking for a second chance like Chud or Schiano. Chud got hose in Cleveland something fierce and as an offensive mind in South Florida I think he could do some big things. Plus it might get Dorsey back. But I gotta shut up. We are stuck with these ******** for at least two years, put the bank on it

Butch but it won't happen.

Chad would be my second choice.

Butch Davis is the answer.

For the record, when Golden was missing during the Penn State affair, Butch's name was brought up and while not the first choice, he wasn't eliminated as an option.

You know this for a fact? What other names were thrown out there?

Yes. He was definitely considered a possible choice.

I'm not allowed to bring up the other names exactly, but I can tell you that a lot of the suggestions brought in this thread were the names being considered. The usual suspects.

@NVA CANE: I'll be able to give you a better answer tomorrow when I go in for work at school, but if I had to guess, the seat isn't exactly hot yet, but the kindling is underneath it, coated in gasoline, and a torch is nearby. Reece Davis's comments near the end of the game were the last things the admin needed to have said on national TV where he basically insinuated that the admin still supports him but that should be reconsidered due to the lack production. The attendance for the FAMU and Arkansas State games will tell a lot to the admin about fan confidence and the Nebraska game will be a genuine, "Make-or-Break," situation.

I know you can't say alot...but have to ask one question.

Do you think if Golden would have gotten the PSU job....would Petrino have even been considered?

I just want to gauge the level of incompetence we're dealing with here in regards to the administration.

Highly unlikely. He was the only name that was given close to zero attention off of the list of possible names. His really damning moral missteps pretty much blackballed him and I was told that the only schools that would have given him any thought would have been Louisville, Arkansas, or another Western Kentucky school.

In the eyes of the admin, what he did to get himself in trouble is considered much worse than any accusations levied against Butch.

I also think this is a little premature. This administration has a track record for taking too long to make the right decision.

AT LEAST one more full season with Golden....and we're going to need a stinker of a season to help expedite the process.

So in short, we're back to rooting for losses ala Randy's last year here. FML.

I swore I would never put myself through that again, yet here we are......

Don't know about this. His career path is basically the same as Randy's at UM, and Randy got fired his fourth year after having very similar records to Golden's first 3 years. People say the admin is in love with Golden, and I have no idea if that's true, but I do know that Randy had a lot of old-time UM football people behind him, and still got fired.

Pretty much what I feared. Thanks for replying.

Golden hasn't even cleaned house on the staff. I'm sure he will get a redo. **** shame. These boys deserve better. We have some really good players despite our product. A real coaching staff would make us a contender. I really believe that.

Stop with facts. People still think the admin doesn't care about football.

the thing is, people mixup bad decisions for not caring. One is fixable, the other isn't.

This is is fixable. Fourth times the charm perhaps.

no offense, but that's bs to fear that. Great coach, crap human, and the vast majority of top programs that are currently winning would also pass on him. Don't misplace the anger.

He won't clean house. No one will be fired. Hes too soft to fire anyone. Evidently he wouldn't fire his OC at temple. Its just not in him.

Man, Louisville's AD came out and gave a 5-minute speech during the game in how Petrino left and all that bull ****. Butch should be brought back after this decade of irrelevancy. Miami should be paying him Saban money after tonight's **** show performance.

I agree with this. Petrino would have been a great hire, but I can understand why a school wouldn't want to hire him.

True words. I just think Golden has bought himself one more season because of the cloud, and because he bull****s better than Randy. I think they will force him to fire Dorito though as a half assed attempt

The next time being a good human earns you points on the field...I'll listen to this.

And if you tell me he did something so bad that nobody would hire him, then maybe I'd listen.

But the fact of the matter is that guy is going to tear it up somewhere, and it should have been here. This school has spent more than a decade worried about putting the hatchet to the reputation that helped get us where we got in the first place.

If he's a good enough person to be employed somewhere, how can you not make a coach of that calibre at least a consideration. We're in dire times here...this program is about to completely fall off the ******* map.

If the dude didnt pull the stunt he did with PSU, he'd probably have more rope right now. But when you do something dumb like that, and then trot out some hot garbage on a national tv game, you are basically spitting in the face of people who pay your salary.

Yep that dam AD was on for the entire halftime suckin on Petrino's sack. Even when Coach Schnelly was on the field. Ya had to be there I guess to see Schnelly.

Fawlk this admin. Fawlk this staff.

Valid points. I guess all we can do is hope that if he loses more than other game this season, that it snowballs and he's gone.

I hope weown is right...but I honestly, sincerely, and truly doubt it. I think we get one more year of this **** show unless we lose 6-7 games....which is not out of the realm of possibility.
