Wyche Decommited

If you are eligible by NCAA rules and you are refused admittance by the school you signed with, the NLOI is null and void. That would make you a free agent again and you can sign with anyone.

The questions I would have is (1) is he still enrolled at the same JC and (2) if not, would he be eligible to enroll here in May (I do not know the ACC rule)..

Someone give me our 2 deep on the defensive line as it stands right now, with both current players and current commits.

Why is everyone freaking out? The "ink isn't dry" on the kid's tweet and everyone already is concluding the worst. He wasn't going to be here until May anyway. Give the thing a chance to work itself out. Maybe he shows up in May anyway and all of the hysterics are for nothing. We'll know soon enough whether or not this turns out to be a problem.

Maybe because there has been no one in the history of modern-era Miami football besides Al Golden who has failed this hard at recruiting DTs

Not to mention the excellent historical track record of kid's decommiting from a particular school and eventually ending up there.

What about the history of kids decommitting from one school before signing day only to be replaced by another kid? We just don't know what's going on yet. This definitely may be a major fail and I'll join in jumping on it if that turns out to be the case. I just think everyone's jumping the gun a bit here.

Oh I know that history...and it always involves either a 2 star from Jersey or a hail mary that has no hope of qualifying.

If he can get into a BCS program, but not here, thats all you need to know about how much our school admin "loves football".

If it's an ACC rule, then that says all you need to know about how incompetent our football admin is, as they overlooked it.

Either way, this entire program is a goddam joke. We spent millions on a new basketball stadium, and on a "recovery pool", but have Mo Larry and Curly running things.

If he gets into another BCS program I'd be inclined to say the entire thing is bull**** and the kid just got swayed by another's school's pitch.

I'm sure Golden gets 1 or 2 "freebies" a year where administration cuts him slack....given the absolute dumpster fire we have going on at that position I'm sure Golden called in every favor he could think of to get him in.

1 or 2 isn't enough and I guarantee those get spent on HS seniors. They don't have to ask for exceptions at OSU, a school that is equal to us academically. They just use the NCAA sliding scale. But Miami, who is closer to Clemson academically than UNC, refuses to bend. It's a joke.

Wyche is getting paid.

/Has that excuse been used yet? If not, I am officially using it.

Just in case you're statement is wrong I'm taking credit for the these

-Kid got paid
-******* Genron
-Don't worry 2015 is loaded at the DT position
He might have toughed it out and waited until May if you guys weren't so darned negative.

Ding ding ding here's your answer. Miami acts like it's way more prestigious than it is and it has destroyed the program.

In a 3-4 or a 4-3?

I think we have bodies for a 4-3.

Huertelou/Moore/Kamalu or Chick
Hamilton/Moten/Jenkins/King

3-4 is where we are going to be hurting.

What is the actual rule?
In the ACC, Juco prospects must have spent a prerequisite amount of semesters at said Juco to be admitted into school. Wyche doesn't fit the minimum, which is why he would have had to wait until May.

Wait, so if he waited til May he/we would be fine? If that's the case then maybe something else is up here.

If the staff didn't know the rule, and that sounds unlikely, that would be a major ***** up and they would deserve all the ridicule they would get. But, maybe the deal was to wait till May but he can't or doesn't want to. That's a "different kettle of fish".
