WR Trevill Holcy

“Well they said they want me in the program regardless,” Holcy said. “They told me that I’m going to play whatever I want to whether that’s at tight end, h-back, or wide receiver. It depends on how my body responds to the workout program and eating healthy. As of right now, nobody knows how my frame will change in a couple years.”

Interesting commit considering we're apparently bringing in a relatively small class numbers-wise, already have one TE committed (Archibald), and are also hoping to land Clarington. That's assuming Holcy will bulk up and become a move TE since he ran 4.8 at the Sparq Combine earlier this month. Lacks the suddenness to separate consistently on the outside.

Not to mention that we're apparently in good early shape for Devante Peete, another big-bodied receiver who's much more highly regarded.

Congrats to the kid, though. Welcome to the :neonu:

If we end up with clarington and peete then we can push him out just like travis johnson and brandon holifield. Not saying that's what we should or will do but worrying about numbers now is silly. Just like this past yr we would have made room for cook, jackson, lane, etc.

Very underwhelming to me.

We could've waited on this one.

Going up against small geeks in most of his tape, plods around the field, very slow. I don't see why we'd take him this early on.

Waited for what?

To take his commitment. What the **** else could he mean?

I'm don't know what Holcy will become but what was the thought when they took a commitment from Demetrius Jackson before he even played a game? Could they have waited on him as well? Or were they smart to jump on before he blew up?

They're stupid with the early offer if Jackson flames out. They're also dumb if they slow played him and Jackson proceeds to blow up like he did.
