I agree but I think he’s talking about the word filter installed because of the flagging by Google.

@skyman , anyone can go on their own profile and deselect the curse word filter and then you’ll see it normally.

Yep. Played BC the week before, which had a lot of people starting to predict an upset with two Top 15 teams in back to back weeks.

Then it was a blood bath in both games and everybody but Lee Corso got on board.

hartline started out as an analyst there but i would say his NFL Career put him into position to be who he is as a recruiter. he was far and away better than beard as a player and the fact that he had a long NFL career proved it where as beard didnt get a crack at it. hartline also played for the fins for nearly his entire career so a lot of kids ended up watching him right here growing up that hes now recruiting.

Not saying you’re wrong or these are bad points but does that qualify someone to be a wr coach at a big time school?

Point is hartline got the job mainly because he is from ohio and alum, similar to why beard did too

i didnt say beard isnt qualified. im just saying it was a bit lazy and we landed on our third choice.
 
It took about 7 posts in for me to realize this is yet another worthless thread to read through. The consensus seems to be joy when coaches get fired and disappointment when coaches get hired. Holy **** people...for the record, none of us are experts on the hiring process. Between our on field performance over the last 20 years and the fan base, we are lucky anyone wants to coach here.

fwiw, hartline was hired as an analyst and got promoted. if he got hired straight on as a WRC, id say its extremely lazy.
