WR Coach Kevin Beard

so now were at the point of comparing toledos WRC to the perceived best WRC in the country (or at least one of?). again, the OC matters a whole lot more as you said with Day, but the spin im seeing is hilarious. go back to the beard golden threads in 2015. make sure to keep the opinions straight this time. fact is we settled on a backup plan to the backup plan bc hes a miami guy. id rather get a young up and comer and beard while he isnt bad by any means hasnt been going upward since starting out at UM under goldens staff. his career stayed stagnant. either way, if the O sucks, it wont matter who the WRC is so it is what it is.
Hartline is for sure way more proven at this point in his career than beard but can anyone answer what made him qualified for a WR coaching job at osu? What did he do to prove he was worthy of an important hire like that?

He was just an alumni and a ohio guy just like beard is an alumni and a south florida guy…Will he end up like hartline? Probably not but everyone is talking like hartline worked his way up into that job lol osu got wrs before him and they’ll get them after him

I think you're expecting a little too much out of a WR coach. Consider the names tossed around here: Tiquan Underwood, Lonnie Galloway, Hankerson, Keith Williams. Which of those guys is positioned to be an OC or HC in the next 2-3 years? So, I understand that Beard may not be s*xy, but I'm not sure that's the pool of coaches that seamlessly transition to OC as easily as say a QB coach/whisperer.

edit: wait s e x y is now being censored?! LOL. WTF.
Board has gone to fuvking ****..

I don't even have a problem with him hiring his son. That's the father in me speaking though and it was a opportunity to work together while passing his knowledge on. It didn't work out, so be it.

Ferentz at Iowa is doing much the same right now that Richt did. Like Richt, I'm sure he thinks he can coach his son up, will enjoy the time working together, etc. Twilight of both their careers.
As a father myself,. I understand this. I do community theatre, love performing. Had the opportunity to perform with my son in a show and we ended up doing a duet. One of the best moments of my life to this point, being able to share that with him. And our relationship has improved immensely since...

This bunny would kill any of those small *** WR we run out there…😂

But I’m Glad to see the rumors that you were going thinner are purely that…rumors..😜

Girl is busting out of her clothes so she is right up your alley…

Those rumors were greatly exaggerated that's like me becoming a vegan. For me it's always gonna be wine and a thick cut of prime meat.

idc abotu **** i just think we settled here. its my opinion (**** its even marios opinion based on us going after Coley and Hank first). its doesnt mean were gonna suck. if dawsons O produces, well be fine with WR recruiting. we dont need to put a spin on it either which is what this site is doing lol.

hartline started out as an analyst there but i would say his NFL Career put him into position to be who he is as a recruiter. he was far and away better than beard as a player and the fact that he had a long NFL career proved it where as beard didnt get a crack at it. hartline also played for the fins for nearly his entire career so a lot of kids ended up watching him right here growing up that hes now recruiting.

Let's calm down and everyone stop making rash judgements on Beard. This is on Mario and time will tell if he knows what the **** he's doing . . . But let's not trash Beard. Instead, give him kudos for going out and trying to develop as a coach. In some ways, he's a lot like DVD - who a lot of folks now want back on the field. He was perhaps thrown into an on-the-field role too soon, but even then it's not like he was trash. He didn't lay down and quit. He had brief stints with Georgia and Tennessee, followed by a more extended stay at Toledo. If the Toledo HC had come here as OC - which a fair number of folks on this board were clamoring for - Beard was coming with him. To say his career has been stagnant means we're hiring the same guy from nearly a decade ago. Doubt that's the case.

no its bc no one can a diff opinion on tihs board. everyone sucks anyones **** even if the resident insiders say theyre meh on it. the mopes are as bad as the slurpers. both ruin the board. we dont need a mario *** guzzling contest in here as we do not need a weekly pitchfork meeting in here either. you can be more realistic in what happened.

how is that trashing beard when i literally said what he did in his career. he spent one season at UM and one at Tenn. he ended up in the g5 since and hasnt left until his alma mater gave him a shot after Hank publicly turned us down. i didnt say he was trash either. i said it doesnt matter in the end if the offense is good. the OC will be the draw for the elite kids not a WrC or a RBC. he was at UGA as an analyst. he spent a year at tenn as a WRC (same role he had w golden). since then he was at toledo the entire time. my opinion is that we settled here. its not a disaster as a WRC doenst matter that much at all. the OC does.

So, great, hire Jason Taylor and we'll be turning away every DE prospect who ever watched a Dolphin game.

I was at that game, I was supposed to attend the UW game earlier in the year, but 9/11 got in the way I couldn't attend the rescheduled game so went to the SU game instead, epic beatdown
Is that the game where Donovan McNabb killed us?
