You didn't comprehend my point and you are making **** up that I didn't say. I said he could be as good any WR coach.so now were at the point of comparing toledos WRC to the perceived best WRC in the country (or at least one of?). again, the OC matters a whole lot more as you said with Day, but the spin im seeing is hilarious. go back to the beard golden threads in 2015. make sure to keep the opinions straight this time. fact is we settled on a backup plan to the backup plan bc hes a miami guy. id rather get a young up and comer and beard while he isnt bad by any means hasnt been going upward since starting out at UM under goldens staff. his career stayed stagnant. either way, if the O sucks, it wont matter who the WRC is so it is what it is.
You and others are passing judgment as though you have followed KBs career closely. Where a WR coach works is largely dependent upon the success of the offense and the OC. If the OC is fired/replaced, the position coaches go as well and have to find other schools to work at. As you should know, most of the position hires are related to the coordinators. So, coordinators tend to bring along the guys they've worked with. If the the coordinator you've worked with is fired and doesn't have a job, then you the position coach are completely on your own to find a new job and that isn't easy when coordinators bring their people along with them.
Secondly, it's funny how the same logic doesn't apply to our OC who has worked at and is coming from a G5 school. Same thing goes for the DC.
The bottom line is people focus on the outcome they want and then gather the information to support that outcome.
All I did is shed light that the success of the WR coach is dependent on the offense, the QB, and then the recruits. Everyone in the country is on Hartline's ****. He walked into an already established elite program with a pass friendly coach and offense who recruits elite QBs. He's developing elite WRs who get drafted high. So, he's doing his job. If he were at an average P5 school with average QBs, he wouldn't be getting elite WRs and would be perceived as a JAG.
That's the reality. So, yes. If we have elite QBs in this new air raid system, KB can recruit elite WRs and become that guy.
