I don’t disagree w you. But acknowledging that the coaches didn’t prepare the players is not like what Golden used to say.

It’s at least a step removed. Maybe I’m hopeful he at least understands it’s the coaching and that he will fix it starting w demotions to analyst and hiring an OC-QB coach
BUT Richt made it very clear the issue is not with playcalling, and he said nothing will change in that regard.

as far as passing plays, how many times do we have guys wide open? just need a qb to get them the **** ball.

Something in the water at Hecht .... Coker, Randy, Folden and Richt.... all morphing into the same person, same answers.....

.. is there an old native American burial ground under there somewhere.

It is a curse...
No it’s the lack of talent we have.Of course bad coaches are part of problem. We only have a few play makers on offense. During our glory days we had game breakers through out our offense and even our second team had many great players. It’s about RECRUITING. We are not dominating in the recruiting of s Florida talent. We have been losing many of the best players “in the state of Miami” to other programs. Unless we can DOMINATE RECRUITING in our region we will remain a mediocre also ran program.

He needs to demote Jon to analyst and switch Brown to RB/coSTC, then hire a QB coach who is also the OC.

At the very least go get a QB coach w nfl experience to also be OC. He would be a major upgrade and bring in more brains.
****, he could help w basically the same offense but add concepts and be slowly integrated into play calling. He could also teach Jon a thing or two

We know who I’m speaking of. He could start this afternoon.

Got to give some props to Joe. He asked some tough questions even if those questions were a bit measured.

saying to fire jon based on what? Jon fought him about pulling perry. saying to fire him is like saying to fire coach d for running golden's defense.

Gotta make room for an OC, and either Jon is not developing QBs or isn’t doing anything at all. Either way, he’s where you make space to hire OC. Demote him to analyst.

/ Coach D is still running Coach D’s “defense” at Houston

This is the same bull**** we heard from Golden when anyone criticized the defense. "The scheme is fine. Players are just missing assignments". How did that work out for us?

Rose should've replied- "Thanks for the circular answer that blames everybody while blaming nobody, coach. This still doesn't address why you haven't recruited/developed a QB in 3 years that is ready to run these plays you speak of or have an OL in place that ever performs above an average at best level."

I'm guessing Rose just did a commercial for Air Around The Clock or Char-Hut instead.
Exactly. Who's fault is it that the players are still "missing assignments" 3 years in to this perfect offensive system? Who's job is it to make sure the players are prepared on gameday? Who is responsible for recruiting players that seem incapable of running the system? I'm so tired of the excuses.

This interview sounded just like Golden

Awkward answers when Joe challenged him personally as a play caller.

If he doesn't hire an OC this off season, he needs to go

So it's not the play...it's the players not exectuing...but its not the players fault they don't execute...it's the coach's fault.

That is one **** of a dog chasing it's own tail kind of statement.

How about the simplest answer is probably the correct one. Your plays are boring and repetitive and everyone from the fans to the opposing teams know it.

CMR thinks he is a smooth talker. He is so full of horse shiit.

He didn't sound confident in his answer... he also
Went on to say that he can't blame the players for not being ready that it's on the coaches to have them ready.

lol another game where the HC admits the staff didn't have the players ready. Same exact thing that was said after the LSU game. Absolutely embarrassing. If you can't get your team prepared for an average Virginia team, get the f-uck out of Coral Gables please and take your useless son with you.

Someone should of asked him why the defense looked prepared but the offense looked like complete s-hit. I wonder who he throws under the bus then.

Most of the stuff was coach speak. But when asked about evaluating playcalls, etc... Instead of taking blame on predictable playcalls, Richt goes out and says that if all 11 guys know their assignments and execute it, the play would work. Meaning that it's not the playcalling in his eyes.

Sorry, guys just frustrated. smh

Eerily similar to Golden.

The offense has the advantage of knowing the play call. That in and of itself is suppose to help the offense get a step on the defense (leverage) every play. If the defense has a good understanding of tendencies and what plays you run with no change than that negates the offenses advantage of gaining a step (leverage) and allows the defense to make the step just as fast. This almost always works in favor of the defense as they are in position to make a play. So on tape it will appear that the any one or all 11 on offense got beat on any given play because the defense reacted just as fast knowing where to defend while the offense lost its advantage (leverage). Now if we were to be this simplistic and werent going to change then cadence comes into play to catch the defense being overly aggressive at the snap thinking they can get a step to hit a gap or slant yada yada. So the offense is suppose to use these pre-snap tools in their favor. We dont use any of those 95% of the time on offense maybe more.
