So you’re okay with an innocent kid being railroaded and career ruined for something he may not have done? A kid messing around on his pregnant girlfriend and having multiple baby mamas is grounds to remove him? You sure you want strict standards of conduct like that? I mean then you have to hold coaches accountable as well for affairs or multiple baby mamas.
I'm quite sure he wasn't railroaded. You think that they just went from suspension to full on dismissal in less than 12 hours with no justification? Odds are he copped to it, the young lady decided to not press charges( or was influenced to by someone) and now he's trying to get back in. He's more than free to continue his football career, SOMEWHERE ELSE. Let someone else bite the bullet for this guy. 3 kids by 20, puts himself in the situation he did. He consistently makes dumbass decisions, this is just another one.

We live in s society of second chances and restorative practices. If there are no charges, then the kid deserves a second chance IMO.

However it should be a short leash.
You meatheads wouldn't be saying this nonsense if he were a backup scrub. Let him play somewhere else, this is an unneeded distraction. These kids rarely work out.

Avontae said he was innocent and falsely charged. Does anyone here have evidence to show otherwise? Does UM have evidence that shows otherwise? It doesn’t appear that way. And if you don’t have any evidence but still don’t believe him, may I ask why?

Avante can say anything he wants now because the state dropped the charges.

Why did they do that is a different story and doesnt mean hes "innocent " or "guilty " it just means the state decided not to pursue the case for what reason we dont know.

It could be the evidence didnt match what was alleged, the state didnt have enough evidence to convict, the alleged victim recanted her story or would not cooperate.

I’ll happily admit I feel this way because he’s a 5* talent.
I also think he needs someone to help guide him. No reason in this day and age of crackheads being allowed to get narcan saved three times a week and not getting arrested, that we can’t give a kid a second chance after charges have been dropped.

Idk about you but im trying to beat Clemson

we need as many 5* as possible
I see one 10 win season in 20 years. Get the boy scouts on the team once they are consistently winning again. Don't have that luxury right now.

Now that said, if he's also a team cancer that's a different story. If he doesn't work hard in practice. If his teammates don't like him. Etc. I have no idea. I assume Manny and the coaches do. Let's see what happens. My guess is Manny is loving this attorney giving him a chance to look like the tough disciplinarian at first but getting the five-star talent back on the team.

Didn't the corner from clemson end up at Georgia? He got more than a second chance

He got dismissed so it must mean he is guilty? He got accused so it must mean he is guilty? No sir, that doesn’t cut it and shouldn’t in this country. Him having 3 kids by 20 is completely irrelevant and respectfully speaking, it’s inappropriate. It has NOTHING to do with determining his worth as a man and whether he is good enough to be part of the student body community. He is in college, he has worked hard to get to where he is (a top division 1 athlete). He earned that.

Exactly. Pata freelancing on something like this would be quite strange. I'm not as sure that he'll be back on the team as there might be forces outside the program at the school that could be impediments but I don't see Pata undercutting Manny on this front.

My take: If behind the scenes Manny didn’t treat Tae w respect, Tae sure as **** wouldnt want back in…he’d be banging on a rivals door. I’m curious to see how it plays out. Would love it if Tae did no wrong and was reinstated. Since I have no knowledge of the situation, I’ll have to wait and see what happens, and assume the decision is made with the right intentions etc.

some of you all are some real judgemental ****'s... Like you all haven't being in a bad situation and caught a break..let him back in the team and sit out a yr ..lesson learned

If Saban was in Manny's situation back during his first stint at Iowa or Indiana or wherever he got his first HC gig, do you honestly think Saban wouldnt at least consider reinstating him?

PC snowflakes are part of why we will never come back.

Find the truth of what he did. Talk to him and his GF if she's willing.

Talk to team leaders and staff to see if they are ok with bringing him back assuming he didnt beat his GF. They will likely all have to deal with negative press at least for awhile, find out if they're ok with the distractions if it gives them a better chance to win.

Make a decision based on what's best for the team and what Avantae deserves.
