Sir I'm not saying nothing happened maybe it did. But she's pregnant which involves a child. That gives the state authority to take the case immediately.

Truth is, kid needs help. I'd much rather see him blossom into a great dad/pillar in the community than my self pleasure of his potential as a Football player. If the Team welcomes him back, I'm on board with that. But if they decide to move on, hope it's done with class and elegance and wish him the best.

There's a lot of factors that go into this. Who called the police? The victim? Someone else?

If the victim called and the police showed up and she said I don't want to prosecute but they noticed the injuries Avantae would've been arrested no matter what.

Criminally they could be looking at perjury or filing a false police report. But theres alot that would need to be shown to charge for either. Charging a victim with a crime is a bad look and the sao would be extremely hesitant to do so.

Civily the victim hasn't made any public statements so libel/slander is out. Also no attorney would touch it because they wouldn't be able to recover any monetary damages from the victim.

In practicality there's no a whole lot of recourse for Avantae in this situation.

But my opinion is based on the limited facts available at this time.

Dr. L this is the question we are still waiting on.......the action is one thing, and the declining to press charges does not show or prove innocence..
It just stops the case from moving forward and being filed.

What does this have to do with FB. I can think of men that never did crime against women that I wouldn't want with my daughter.
This is a fb team not your personal life

I look at it like this; this is Big Time football. There is a bit of ruthlessness involved in making decisions as the HC/CEO of a brand/team. It can’t always be feel good stories. There is a nuanced balance when it comes to winning. I just read an article recently from Barry Switzer saying that back in the day cops would call him and tell him when his players got into the kinda trouble they could sweep under the rug. Of course the player would pay for it in house it was Big Time football rules. It’s always been that way. You can run a super squeaky clean program cut players at the first sign of trouble and have high graduating numbers BUT if you ain’t winning, you’re going to get fired. Miami has always had this notion of being “ Thug U” and it probably won’t leave. I’ll tell you what, we didn’t have glory days with kids that sung in the church choir. You need dogs to win. If a dog is trainable you keep em, because they make mistakes. If they aren’t l, cut em. Manny is very savy, he did exactly what he need to given the circumstances. He was also smart enough to have Pata “reach out” as to keep a safe distance from himself and have plausible deniability if thing turned south. I’ll leave it like this, if you can have a good successful career as a HC in CFB, they’ll whisper about your losses and indiscretions and laud your wins and triumphs. This is. The life. We chose.

So you’re okay with an innocent kid being railroaded and career ruined for something he may not have done? A kid messing around on his pregnant girlfriend and having multiple baby mamas is grounds to remove him? You sure you want strict standards of conduct like that? I mean then you have to hold coaches accountable as well for affairs or multiple baby mamas.

Just like it doesn’t mean he is.. let it play out.
 
If he deserves a second chance he should get one, only those close to him, the coaches know if he is deserving. But I sure as **** hope the kid isn't crucified in the court of social media. And if he doesn't deserve it I would hope they would support him and help him land somewhere he can continue to grow.
