Could leaving Confederate monuments up be similar to Germany preserving some **** concentration camps? As reminders of what should never be allowed to happen again? Because those who forget history are bound to forget it.

Didn't a poster say not long ago that there was very popular board that was ruined by over-politicization?

You fūcking guys need to get a grip. Eventually people just get tired of the bullshlt and find something else to waste their time on. Less eyeballs, less money. I’m getting tired of it myself.

I totally get it. But it seems if you can't even draw a line from having a mod telling a poster "no joke" to waste themselves, we might as well be in Thunderdome. Let's not even pretend there are any rules or sense of modicum here.

That shlt was bizarro, I can’t argue with that. I didn’t honestly believe it, because I never even saw that thread until tonight. Best thing to do is just laugh it off and walk away.

Every thread is turning into a free for all. I know talking about Covid with respect to attendance is pertinent, or southern schools with their Dixie roots has some bearing, especially if we can use it to differentiate ourselves, but otherwise, it’s getting poisonous.

If you do your research, perhaps no school more so than Ole Miss has served as a bastion of racism, with their football games once upon a time not long ago commonly known for their Confederate flag waving fans in the stands. I think that has been done away with, but they embrace the Confederate flag. They can claim it’s under the pretense of some Southern nostalgia; it’s lightly disguised racism, is what it is. We all know it. Black fans weren’t waving the Confederate flag at Ole Miss games and for good reason.
