The venue doesn't make a difference. If someone stands in front of you, reaches back with their hand and then slowly brings it across your face. You dodge the slap. You don't need to be spiderman to dodge that.

Even if Chris was actually stupid enough to think Will was coming up there to give him a hand shake. He still should have been able to dodge it once he started reaching back for the slap. He obviously has extremely slow reflexes.
