With this offensive line he will take several of those hits.

They need to get the ball out of his hands quickly and let the playmakers run in space. If he is truly hurt then you will see a big dose of runs.
 
Coley and Richards are good enough that we can max protect and go deep more often. Not sure where that was against FSU or GT.

Richards is just as good as Ridley. He can have that sort of impact for us. And Coley, when he's dialed in, as good as anyone.
 
Patchan is a much needed addition.I see him as a pass Rush specialist right now on 3rd down.I saw Darrion Owens make some good plays which was nice to see. We desperately need to him to continue to improve his physical condition.

Our defensive front 7 next year is going to be horrifying. That's the only thing I know for 100% certainty.

I just hope they do exactly what they've done all year, or we're finished. And you can absolutely forget it if they decide to play hard and motivated.
 
Pleeeeeaaaase use Njoku in the middle of the field. Take some deep shots with Coley and Richards. I don't remember one deep throw against FSU.

Expect NC to load the box and force Richt to throw the ball. Rick won't get the message though. Coker T all day long.
 
I think the short comings of the offensive line handcuff what we can do. The short passing game might be our best bet for now. However, Kaaya has to be more accurate especially on short throws. Getting the ball out fast to protect our quarterback is critical.
 
What sucks is the fact that we can't rin out of the I because Kaayas passing mechanics and timing in his drops is totally off.

Being able to pass from the Run heavy pro sets would kill because guys are open. That would take defenders out of the box and in turn open up running lanes. Unfortunately Kaaya has looked absolutely terrible under center because he is shell shocked from getting hit too much and teams just load the box on us now. SMFH!

Nah. It's just disappointment over seeing an offense that has regressed since OC coley left.
 
Chise, 100% agree. I know the dummies like to preach "it's only one game, guys!" But this game will say a lot, and frankly, could very well be a barometer for the rest of the season.

I think ****dik will be able to gameplan against richt's offense as it's currently constituted. If richt doesn't adjust, this could be another 23-2 type of slosh fest where both defenses show
Up to play. If it goes down like that, it's pretty clear that any competent DC will be able to slow our offense down. That's bad news.

I know what it is. You think I'm happy about the shid?

The UNC game will help me decide if I want to jump on the wagon or not but for now Mark has earned a tad bit of my patience.
