Unpopular opinion, but I think it would better for all parties if Perry stayed and was our starting QB for the season. Perry is a better passer. This should be the best line we’ve had in years. And I believe he is a much better fit in Lashlee’s system. It’s a terrible situation but that’s why a Manny gets paid the big bucks. He should, imo, convince Perry to stay and name him the starter — something I know will not happen.

Perry is a better passer than King?

This is already the worst take of 2021.
 
We will learn that the height of a QB plays a big part on the offense. Just a general observation. I'm not taken sides here.

King played his entire career in a weaker conference, that doesn't help the case. I wish the best for QB KING trust me. I just want to win.

It will probably be unpopular because the premise that "Perry is a better passer" is wrong. Other than that, it's a great post.

In the physical therapy world the worst injury an athlete can get is called The “terrible triad” which is ACL, MCL and medial meniscus torn all at the same time like Marcus lattimore from USCe. That injury is career ending still and bear in mind now king is 2/3 of the way there with his acl tear. So anyone that thinks it’s a good idea to put him behind our oline to start the season against bama is borderline malpractice, period!

Don’t worry- Manny Lombardi will scheme a game plan that will plug the huge holes along the OL while calling plays as the DC that will keep Bama on their heels. Let’s just hope UNC doesn’t show up instead.

Not saying **** be back 100% bc I dont think he will be but there are some other guys who have come back sooner than a year from an ACL. Amari Rogers from Clemson somehow came back in like 6-7 months. I havent watched any film on him during that comeback season but if there was anyone who could come back quicker I think King would be that guy. Great attitude and work ethic. I hope for his sake and the fans sake he is back in time for ACC play...don't really want to see the freshman in there trying to figure it out in year 1 under center
