Will Grier

So instead of being eligible to play in the 7th game at FU next season, he decides to sit out the whole year at another college? There has to be more going on behind the scene because this makes no sense at all.

It makes complete sense if you factor in him getting third team reps behind guys who can play if needed. At that point, the job may not be up for grabs anymore, so transfer and sit since he'll likely be sitting next year anyhow.
 
I would rather have toddy centeio and jack Allison in which case I don't see where he'd fit in by the time he could play.

Chad Grier. High school corch and ultimate helicopter dad living vicariously through his kids. His other two kids are "famous" on social media. He was recently off peddling "Free Willy" t-shirts in Gainesville and Charlotte. Dude is a clown that'll make any excuse possible for Grier. I personally don't want him or his attention whoring family anywhere near here.

You know this program and our admins. They will NEVER offer this kid a scholarship, even if he was only guilty of taking a cold medication with a banned substance in it. Not after having that BALCO mess in the neighborhood.

There's a difference between supporting your kid and enabling them. You can research the Griers yourself but the mere fact that this clown printed up "Free Willy" shirts and distributed them around Gainesville during Grier's suspension/appeal really should tell you what kind of parent/attention ***** that you're dealing with.
 
It wouldn't be the first time a parent has done something like that or a parent backed their kid not knowing the entire story. Since we're not part of the family, I'm not in a position to judge or say who knew what when or if there's any enabling going on. As a parent myself, I know kids will make mistakes. Why would you, one of our fans, bother trying to know much about Grier to begin with? Again, what's internet famous....the other kids mean?
 
The internet rumors are that the young man had a drug problem. Hope he gets help. But, if true, drug problem + South Florida = sleeping in a dumpster within 4 months.
 
No QB who wants to start is going to transfer here. We have Kaaya for 1-2 more years and Allison coming in after that. When guys like this transfer they want to go to a situation where they're likely to start. The fact that he's running away from Florida tells you a lot.

I'm basing my comments off of people I know that lived near them in North Carolina that have been reinforced by them through his recruitment and suspension. Bottom line- they're all attention whores and Papa Grier will be more a part of Will Grier's problems than solutions. These are the other Grier "celebrity" children:

Vine, Twitter, YouTube, etc....not my thing whatsoever, but there's people out there making money off of those things. I'm not sure how tossing them into the mix adds to anything, but whatever.

Grief can stay or go wherever he likes. Perhaps there's some issues with him or his family, but if someone thinks he can help them win he'll have an opportunity to play.

Well your last statement is true of sports in general....unless there's video of you knocking out a woman. Then you're pretty much done. At least for a while.
 
Things went south for Grier ever since the suspension, I don't think he liked UF recruiting 3 QB's that were all EE's as well. The staff wanted him to stay, but he chose to leave.

You see a legit program taking him as a transfer? Any idea if UiF placed restrictions on where he can try to go?
