Why couldn’t we have LSUs offense!!

CIS: sees generational QB prospect sitting in the pocket for several seconds, buying time vs pressure and launching dimes to NFL receivers downfield

"Why can't we have this offense"

:snoopfacepalm:

Burrow has been absolutely unreal this year. Historically great. Not taking away anything from this guy.

BUT...

He was a 50% passer last year and was a backup at Ohio State before going to LSU.

The offensive system is like 50 cents on the dollar of the New Orleans Saints and they basically destroyed college football.

Once again, the University of Miami is behind on the cutting edge of college football. No forward thinkers. When you're getting outflanked by The Shrimp Boat Cap'n, perhaps you need to really evaluate what you're doing.

Joe Brady was a nobody that was fetching coffee for Sean Payton.

He is a great find by Ed Orgeron.

The position was open and our coach didn't or couldn't find him because he wanted Dan Enos.

One is on the cusp of winning a national championship and has dominated college football with a historically great offense and the other is going to play some MAC school in the HIM'S Erectile Disfunction Bowl with a historically bad offense.

Sometimes its the little things, I guess.
Erectile dysfunction Bowl, dude that **** had me dying in Walmart. Had people looking at me like I was a freak. That **** was funny

People act as though we're the only program out there. If we missed out on Joe Brady........didn't everyone except LSU miss out on Joe Brady?

How come everybody wants to see what Cristobal does without Herbert, but nobody seems to be asking what Orgeron/Brady do without Burrow?

Awsi is right, as usual. Next year when LSU is struggling on offense, we will revisit the Joe Brady Hall of Fame rhetoric.

Because miami continues to live in the past. Refusal to adapt is why this program is so far behind now
It starts with the TARD in your account picture 252cane :applouse:

two words....Joe Burrow

Joe Burrow was trash last yr; it’s called Coach O has been around championship caliber programs and learned what it takes to win, which is surrounding urself w guys who are ripe for poaching by the NFL or other NCAA teams. He went to the NFL and plucked a guy associated w a high power O in the back yard. He completely transformed the whole O side of the ball.

Meanwhile Manny learned from Richt; surrounding himself w cats who he was familiar w and making sure his staff couldn’t ? him. Manny ain’t never been associated w any championship caliber anything; hence he acted like a complete moron both on & off the field this season b/c he had no guidance and just went off what he thought.

I don’t get the logic regardless... every winning cfb program had a great QB or great game manager. Herbert is a great QB but he isn’t some irreplaceable talent.. They’ll be able to field another QB that can be effective in their offense. I’m sure LSU will be able to sale their offense to recruits and find another QB good enough to score enough points to remain a contender even if it is a drop off from Burrows level of production.

True. We need to be cutting edge, like Wisconsin.
No, we need to continue to run Enos's elite offense that has us DEAD LAST in 3rd down conversion, 90th in total offense, 120th in rushing, 73rd in scoring, 76th in yards per play, 127th in sacks allowed & 121st in Red Zone scoring.

Real bang up job he did this year... Hopefully he'll keep up the great work & figure out a way to get us in the top 70 in offense, if that's not too much to ask.

As usual, you're making the poor assumption that the stats are what they are ONLY because of the type of offense we run. If we had some actual talent on offense we might see better numbers. Unless you're going to tell me that Wisconsin is cutting edge.

All facts. But it's completely reductive to credit Burrow's transformation to a scheme change. He's not making easy reads and schemed throws. He attacks man coverage downfield with precision. He escapes pressure with calmness and ease. Scheme has nothing to do with that stuff.

If you wanna credit the staff changes to his development then that makes sense but the talent is the scheme for LSU. There are much more creative and dynamic offensive systems in CFB.
