It's 2020 and we're handicapping ourselves over smoking weed because there's a bunch of 50 year old sports writers in South Florida who have convinced themselves that this has been the true problem with the program.

If a player is 21 at a THC friendly state school, and he tests positive for THC, will we start to see lawsuits if these dudes receive consequences?

That is a GREAT question.

The law generally upholds employers and organizations have the right to set standards and expect employees to meet them.

Example: alcohol is legal, but you can't show up to work over BAC limit (people think its "drunk"...not true).

If an employer says drug testing for THC or whatever is a termination offense, then employee has to decide if working there is a good fit for the individual lifestyle they [employee] want to lead.

People have been blaming the greendog since the late 30s. Mandy will spin anything to deflect attention from himself & save his own skin.

Its going to be beautiful if Lashlee gets the O on track & Mandy’s downfall is his overrated defense.

Feels like purgatory to me. Stuck in this revolving door of ineptitude.

Counter argument would then be if they are going to be considered employees then they have to be paid wages.

You know who gets leeway? People that produce. If Trevor Lawrence lights up a blunt in Dabo's office, the only punishment he'll get is having to get up and open a window.

Right? The reason Sapp never got in trouble for smoking weed at UM is because he DESTROYED people on Saturdays.
If the potheads aren't producing, bench 'em and find someone who actually wants to play.

Why is he doing this? It's really quite simple, our supposed starting QB was more interested in smoking the devil's lettuce and going out clubbing than he was watching game film.

Not saying weed is a problem for everyone and like most things in moderation doesn't have ill effects, but Diaz knows he needs to fix the QB room and culture on this team.
