Seems like the local talent base is better in South Florida for sure, but Harbaugh has the name to recruit nationally, so he'll be able to cherry pick some kids. He has that edge like Saban, which Richt did not have in the later years at UGA, and I'm not sure he ever will, but maybe with him being more personally involved coaching kids again, it will be better at Miami. Living in Georgia, with family who are season ticket holders for years, I watched a lot of games over the past ten years where UGA looked very flat for the big games. Florida feasted on them, and Alabama did once Saban got established, which is why he was fired.
He was never going to be successful there, with those boosters and the system they have. They needed a coach with a personality like Saban, and Smart seems to fit the bill. I've heard what he's told the kids, and there's no real family message there. He's told the kids, he's not there to love them, he was brought in to win championships. Whether he is a good head coach is still to be seen, but he's tearing up recruiting there now, and doing all the right things to push back against the rest of the SEC.
Sure you could always go that way. But please limit the delusional stuff to the Georgia website. Just one quick fact check here. Let me know if I'm wrong. #1 2016 #1 qb in the country from Washington... on a yearly basis 2014 or 15 being the last year top running back after top running back. 2015 2 of the top 3 3 of the top 10. 2014 #1 running back. 2013 #2 rb... if I recall correctly only 1 of those kids was from Georgia. That my friend is the definition of cherry picking
