I am hoping it's Jarren. It's pretty clear he's the most pure passer so if he puts it all together he'd perhaps have the most potential.

I completely trust Enos tho. I want the QB he picks.

Just a point that I don't view who I'd want as the QB1 in light of ethnicity. Tua is pretty much from Mars, and the "racist" Bama fans couldn't give a F as long as he wins.

Race baiting tards who try to divide people on that are useless. These posts should probably be deleted because it's about football, nothing else.
It ain't race baiting , it's just the truth.

Don’t listen to krazy. He’s the least knowledgeable guy here.

I’m not saying Tate has separated himself, but manny wasn’t gonna let a transfer walk in and hand him the job without giving the returning guys a shot.

Tate didn’t come here to sit. He brings a mamziel aspect to the offense and will make some huge plays b/c of his ability to scramble. Whether it’s a big run or it is a roll out or scramble that finds a wr deep downfield.

I’m pretty sure it won’t be Jarren as I just can’t see a guy with just a few snaps starting against UF. Need a guy w experience starting that game.
Why didn’t Tate come to UM outta high school? He got beat out by Fields before Fields even set foot in Columbus, now yall making him TATE the GREAT lol

Perry the only kid on the roster with TRUE game experience but yall writing him off for a transfer that got the boot from somewhere else. First time I've ever seen a highly touted player get " CUT " from COLLEGE lol. If he's the guy I will support him 100000 percent, my problem is with the people trashing and writing off Perry simply for the shiny new toy that is Tate.

Was SUPER EXCITED when Tate decided to come and I’m still glad he came to the “U”.
Tate turned up the level of competition here and forced the other to guys to get their ish together. **** Koski even turned into a school boy.
With that being said Tate makes the team better naturally, just being the Alpha Male that he is.
HOWEVER, I just can’t imagine that we roll this kid out to start with the amount of talent we can at the skill positions.
I would like to see Jarren get the nod and some packages for Tate.
If this was 2015, 2016 or **** even last years skill group, we would have to go with Tate but this group is Ripe and Ready

I voted Jarren because he's got the highest ceiling. I think Tate will win the job because the OL is still a question mark. What's interesting is that virtually none of us have faith in Perry.

so say we go w tate bc of the OL, we essentially lose JW to transfer even tho he'd maybe the best of the 3? man id feel awful if that ends up happening and were left holding our you know what's all bc of a short sighted decision. OL be damned, pick the best man for the job. i dont wanna see the better prospect (whoever it is) ball out elsewhere while ours is garbage

There are plenty of us that have faith in Perry, just like we have faith in the other two. However, in the twisted world of CIS, the ones that have faith in all 3, are the ones that are considered to be irrational and delusional.

All I know is if Ryan Collins isn't named the starter then I'm releasing all the **** I have on this program directly to the NCAA.

Hurts still hasn't won the OU job. I mean, he most likely will, but Riley still needs to see more apparently. But it is telling hes not naming him the guy yet, which further reminds you:

These qbs are transferring for a reason. These aren't Cam (kicked out) or Patterson (sanctions) situations where the player had other reasons for leaving. They're leaving bc they cant win starting positions.

Yeah yeah, I know, I know. Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray.

Tate ain't either of those guys. Nope.

Doesn't mean hes not better than 5 or 18. But the simple fact remains that he left OSU bc he wasnt getting PT and was basically told to bounce by the new coach (who was his qb coach for 2 seasons btw) who brought in a transfer whose most memorable play at the collegiate level so far was a botched fake kick. Big red flag.

Anyway, I'm rolling with whoever Enos evaluates and determines to be the best.

I'm happy any of the 3 options.
You make some very valid points, but you don't explain the whole story...

Jalen Hurts WON the QB battle as a FRESHMAN at BAMA..... That includes all the other 4 stars they already had on the roster.... Yes, he lost the job to a future TOP 10 pick in Tua, but then again who wouldn't have Tua took the job from? Not that many QBs...

Great points about Tate... Once again sat behind a 2-3 year starter in Barret and a FIRST round pick in Dwayne Haskins.. Don't take away from the fact that he can still be a great collegiate QB.

To say Tate can't be either of those guys is not the best argument. You're contradicting yourself. You and everyone else in the world would have never guessed Baker would be a Heisman QB after walking on at Texas Tech. Of course the odds are against Tate to win the Heisman or be that good of a player but that's just a bad argument to say he absolutely CANT..

Looks like Cane fans dont have a lot of faith in Perry. He has a great arm but knowledge of the play-book may be holding him back.

I agree with the sentiment that I just want the guy who will help us win the most games.

I've always suspected Jarren is that guy because he's apparently the most accurate (at least in practice). I know Tate and Perry are more mobile, but I don't want a QB that's thinking about running too often. Sure you want someone more mobile than Brad Kayaa. And I think Jarren qualifies.

I'm just praying one of the three can be solid for us. Imagine how good we could be defensively if the offense could keep the D off the field for extended stretches.

Baker Mayfield at the very least won a qb competition and started for a team, something Tate has yet to do. Same for Kyler.

Tate also was going to be sitting behind Joe Burrow who will be drafted late or not at all.

The same points you made for Tate you could also make for Perry and Jarren in terms of what they can be.

Hurts won the Alabama qb job from a guy who has since transferred to TWO different schools. He is currently the qb for USF. Not very impressive. Even then, Bama fans hated Hurts (I'd say unfairly) from day 1, even when they were winning with him.

Tates best case scenario is a more accurate, smarter, upgraded Malik Rosier, which actually isnt as bad as it sounds.
