Who do you dislike more as a Cane. ND or UF?

using chatgpt to craft a response on a message board: incredibly ghey.

for me it's ND because of their northern sort of sanctimonious-ness like @caneingville alluded to. It's like people from England talking about soccer with their nose up at anyone when they've won ****-all in 60 years (my family is from Argentina so naturally we can't stand those rhee tards.

was at the Notre Dame-Indiana playoff game & tailgate and the mere mention of Miami would make literal stream blow out of these fake fat Irish *****' ears.
there's a funny mix of disdain and fear from them, knowing what the CFB landscape would look like if this program can figure it out like the glory days. stuff like that is part of what makes the Canes by far my favorite team to support: there's not a single opponent that is remotely similar to what this thing used to be and can get back to going forward.

though with UiF being in-state and in the SEC, I root harder for their consistent suckage than Notre Dame, if that makes sense
You will appreciate this story then…

When I was doing my MBA internship at [very large healthcare company you have all heard of], I was introduced to a colleague who had gotten his MBA at Notre Dame. We were chatting and as they all do, he asked me what my career background was, what schools I went to, etc. Of course, he became a total **** when I said I did my undergrad at Miami.

But I shut him up pretty quickly when I told him how I turned down Notre Dame’s business school without even applying. That POS school actually FedEx overnighted me a package offering me a full ride after my GMAT score got recorded, and I laughed, tore it up, and threw it in the trash. You should have seen his smarmy jaw drop as I was telling him this.

I then thanked him for confirming that I made the right decision and walked away.

I have told this story before, so if you read it the first time, skip on. I hated both and still do. But, when we played ND at a “neutral” site in Chicago, my son and I went. Got great seats, ready to see the young Canes prove themselves against a highly ranked team. Well the pregame crowd in the parking lot, saw our gear and…..invited us over for beers and food. They were as nice as you could imagine. They wished us luck and we went to our seats. The crowd was 95% ND fans and older. They looked like they all had money. We sat there and they all introduced themselves and THANKED us for making the trip. They were wonderful. On our first drive a young WR beat the DBs and was open deep. Our QB threw a perfect pass. The WR dropped a certain TD. The ND fans sitting next to us said, that WR is going to be good he just beat two all-Americans. He’s just young and nervous. I hate the ND football team. But, their fans were totally classy and so it is not even close in my book. The Gators and their a-hole fans can kiss my, well you get the point.

Season is coming up kids. We play both this year...

I personally can't stand ND. I made a thread weeks ago. But, basically how ND for several big games completely disrespected Miami. Personally. We talking ish like Catholics vs Convicts. It was actually worse than that when the our team showed up to their stadium.

Gators, are Gators. Before even , Urban Meyer did the 4 wide receiver set deep in the 4th quarter to intentionally run up the score.. Florida been ****sss.

Otherwise, they swing off our nuts.

Thoughts.
Indeed

I think many of us have a negative story or two to tell about a Domer.

But your rule of thumb is a good one. There is no such thing as an honorable gator.

I should say that I actually have a problem. I hate the fans of UF athletics as much as a man should hate anything. I actively hope for misery for the people who root for UF. My sincere prayer is for the gator to get ground into dust by the Canes at Hard Rock stadium this year- and for all UF fans and alumni watching the game (in person or on TV) to feel a bit worse about themselves after the loss.

Hey, lots of us here have degrees from UF! 🤣

I refused to adhere to your constraints. **** them and their fan basees both.

One smeared every single Miami fan with the convict label

The other essentially puts a gator head over their white hood

I detest them both in, disrespect them both for their coward, and both canceling the series, something Florida State never did

UF is the bigger recruiting rival and more fans deal with UF people locally, ND is the more important rival for the national brand and the aura and nostalgia of Catholics v Convicts.

It’s uf it’s not close! The 2006-08 football hoops run got a lot of 305 high school students to go there fast forward 17 years they’re now a public Ivy wtf that actually means! I think this years schedule is huge and the nd game is more notable than 2017. But this UF game is probably the biggest game in the history of the rivalry because it’s the last time we’ll play them regularly for the foreseeable future because of conference realignment. I think it’s a massive game, but I’m glad we set the tone last year with whooping their ***. Can’t wait for both games, but it’s UF by a mile should be an interesting tailgate for both. And I think we’re in those players heads, including Lagway.

The public ivy label doesn’t mean ****.

And the number of UF alums and students that posted that they thought that meant that UF was now actually part of the Ivy League was hilarious and sad.

I would say it’s a tie

But ND wins ftop position for subjecting us to Lou Holtz as the worst commentator in history not to mention the insufferable butt licking of Brent Musberger

This was the question that I needed to have answered, all the way from Phx Az. I had to choose which game I wanted to see. I answered that question with F them Gators. Golden Domers don't like them at all but I'm not mad at Marcus Freeman. Them **** Gators though, coming to Hard Rock, I can't miss that. Wifey and I flying in for that, 9/20 can't wait. Go Canes.

HA! amazing

many of them are like that. my dad immigrated to the US to study and actually ended up transferring out of Notre Dame. my roots of (shared) hatred probably started there
