Who’s gonna step up and fly the banner rightfully calling for the firing of the two nincompoops leading this program into **** in Flake and Manure?

100%. We should consider forming a banner committee. Only serious fans need apply, though.
You may not be a scientist or engineer, but this idea is pure genius. And since it is your idea, I'd like to nominate you for chairman of the banner committee. Are you a serious fan?

If we see more beat downs this season where the chain comes out while the game is out of reach. The plane engines will start running in preparation

No disrespect, but this is the dumbest question ever asked on CIS. You've heard of one percenters? Well, I'm in the top .01% of serious Canes fans. That's the top 1 % of the top 1%. I'm so serious about these Canes that I have not smiled since 1:22 pm EST on January 4, 2001. I was already over winning a natty and those corny celebrations. After all, what have you done for me lately, right?

In fact, in 2003 when Brock Berlin beat UiF, I threw my beer at the guy in front of me cheering like a dumb kid (he might have actually been a minor) and berated him that we should have won by at least 3 TDs. When Randy managed to get one over on Oklahoma back in 2009, I called the ticket office and told them I was cancelling my season tickets because VT had just beaten us the week before. When Golden had us 7-0, I was sending weekly letters to the Hecht every Sunday morning with annotated photo stills from the game showing conclusively the whole thing was fools' gold and No-D was a bum. When we beat ND in 2017, I walked out of the stadium cussing because I knew Richt wasn't the guy and we'd just end up losing down the road.

That's how serious I am.

Sooooo, you accept the nomination for chairman?
@RVACane can be in charge of the artwork. We just need a fundraiser, anyone heard from 305 separatist?

I would accept, but the problem is nobody in the committee will be on my level of seriousness, except maybe @NicKane. Then poor @NicKane and I would just get frustrated and upset with everyone else. And since everyone knows banner people are the toughest guys on the planet, it'll just end up turning into vicious fist fights at every meeting. Nobody will get hurt, of course, we're too tough to hurt. But those fights will probably last hours, and who really has time for that?

So is there some sort of punishment if a banner flies and we win? Because I think there should be some sort of reinforcement, positive or negative.

Knowing that two Canes got into a fight would be very upsetting, even though the cause was right, and I wouldn't want that to happen.

We need to nominate a maude as chairman, it would lend instant credibility to the cause, but who? Ideally, this person would be a UM grad as well.

Yeah I think you the type that instead of being mad a racists, u go around saying, oh im against racism, i just wish these people could protest in a different way aka nicer way. You wanna give people things to do that is unlikely to happen, and that eventually keeps Diaz around. Pin that.
Fundamental difference between our life and death struggle in this country and a bunch of idiots flying a useless banner, because they are mad about a football coach being subpar. Even then, there has always been a debate in the civil rights community about which protests work and which doesn't.

You know WHY the Montgomery Bus Boycott worked? They lost a ton of money because we made up a huge percentage of bus riders. Amazing how economic coercion makes people act right. Frankly, the stadium being empty at the end of the Clemson game did more to get Golden fired than the yahoos scraping together a couple bucks for a banner. When the people that have donated, bought tickets for decades start declining to re-up, that's when change happens.

I'm not donating another dime to this athletic department until I see changes, I'm upping my financial support to the academic side instead. When they ask why I'm not donating to the HC, they will be told why.

Come in dude!! Stop asking someone else to step up and pay for the banner. You got this!!
I mean , in all seriousness, what could go wrong?

Go Canes!!
I ain’t asking anyone to pay for a banner, I’m just planting a seed if some like minded individual that’s sick and tired of seeing the pathetic Miami admin, athletic Dept and head coach further ruin the program and wants to rightfully embarrass them on game day for there malpractice. That’s all! I did my part sporto, did you forget this beauty flying high above the grounds of the sacred orange bowl for the abortion that was FIU? Here’s a reminder for you “Hecht company man” lmao

Lol this place is the best seriously
Sure, let's fire James, Diaz and Lashlee, we can solidify our place as one of college footballs most transient football coaches location. Every school that changes HC's every three years is forever in the tank. Diaz does need to hire a DC and focus on being the head coach. Lashlee needs to go down field more and start working in Van Dyke and Garcia (future star).

It's a difficult proposition...

@JD08 is about as even-keel and fair-minded a Maude as we've got around here, but he is decidedly anti-banner (likely a thought placed in his head by the Almighty himself to remind us all that nobody is perfect).
@JeddTheFisch is as serious a Cane fan as I am, and maybe even more so. But he's just as likely to throw down at a committee meeting, and about 3 times as likely to get stabby.
@RVACane is another Maude that I look to often, but he's got a lot on his plate right now creating tasteful GIFs as part of our propaganda/hearts-and-minds campaign. Can't distract him from that.
@IndayArtHauz is a mod, so that doesn't work.
@OBLIVION would be game, but I wouldn't want to put that stress on him. Herding these cats is hard work.
@AtlAtty is another very fair-minded Maude and brings some savvy criminal law acumen to the table. Although that would arguably be very helpful in the event committee activities result in criminal prosecutions against the committee (which nobody here supports, just to be clear), we need to keep him clean for the defense and avoid any potential conflicts.

This might be an @Andrew or nobody type situation. And I think we all know how that'll go (HINT: it involves a ton of ads).
