King was sacked 4 times and was 23/31 for 178 yards. He threw 1 td and had 2 interceptions and a fumble. We had 88 rushing yards.

I think OL is fine - maybe tweak scaife and put him back inside. Btw, what on earth happened to Jarrid Williams?

I think king will be fine but he’s certainly not 100%.

to me, the most concerning is the offense. We knew our defense would have issues bc of our front 7. But offense is supposed to be the strength - year 2 of lash/king, hugely improved OL and WR, etc. we were playing in a phone booth yesterday.

To me, the most concerning thing has nothing to do with the outcome. It was mindset (or approach). Nick Saban himself identified we took more shots and tested more in the second half. I look forward to the rationalizations for this bizarre approach almost as much as I hope we change it going forward.

Putting Scaife anywhere other than scout team is tragic.

Scaife is as big as it a bigger disappointment then #26. He should be on the bench with #26

Sad fooking day when I’m in lockstep agreement with you, but alas here we are

The most concerning thing is our inability to defend screens and idiocy in our coverage shells. We give up quick routes (eg bubbles with 2 receivers covered by one DB with a high safety) for 8 yards a clip like clockwork. We either lack any coaching or the coaches think top teams won’t be able to execute the most basic plays on their offense. It’s insane.

The talent gap between the two teams was the most concerning for me besides the play calling. It was men vs boys u could see it......there was a female in my discord/twitch that didn't even watch football that knew the other team was bigger and faster and meaner. It was like old UM teams beating up on a team that couldn't do anything regardless of play calling.

A toss up between Asslee’s play calling and Diaz’s wefense but I picked the defense. if I could pick both I would. It was Lashlee’s playcalling, not Bama, that was the real reason the offense failed to score enough to keep the game competitive.

But Diaz takes the cake for having the worst blitz concepts of all time and his entire scheme is trash. On top of showing favoritism to veteran players that are bums and hyping them like they’re going to shock the world every offseason. :diaf:

This right here and add our crappy, slow, obvious blitz packages that never get home

Real talk, what if the freaking love affair with Scaife, dude has been straight trash since last year game 1 against UAB, he was getting smashed inside, and everyone made excuses and said oh his natural position is rt, that **** is obviously not true.. his natural position is bench, its over for him unless injury or blowout, dude has to do some soul searching or something I dont know what happened after his first season but its par the course at greentree

I said it a lot leading up to the game but I wasn’t so much concerned with the outcome or the score (I had conceded a loss in my head) but was more concerned with HOW we arrive at the loss

We arrived at the loss in the worst possible way, again

Not prepared. No balls. Scared playcalling.

This is a trend and just seeing that I already know the kind of season we are in for because we’ve seen it a thousand times already

I’m not an OL guru but isn’t Rivers natural position at tackle? He seemed fine yesterday

you either have it or you don’t and Scaife doesn’t have it
